    I think that game was a microcosm of our season at times. At least we scored first, this time.
    City or Arsenal probably would have won and not conceded. They're just better than us at the moment and third place is deservedly where we are. Still a decent season and we've progressed since last time. All us fans are going to miss Klopp so much.

    I think the media scrutiny is a big part of why Klopp decided to call it a day. You can tell over the years he never enjoyed some of the questions in these press conferences and interviews post matches. We all know they are part of the job and the media are just doing what they do but I just think this part of his job is what tired him out most.
    I would rather not have all these press conferences if it would mean he would be with us longer but this is the world we live in now... horrible.

    Klopp can say what he wants. For the whole season the defense looked suspicious. You didnt see that with Arsenal and City. Also today: 4-0 up and still!!! Tottenham made one long pass and guys like Son or Richarlison where almost alone in front of the goal. I didnt see many games from City but they looked a lot more compact. That is what Slot has to improve: he has to play lower than Klopp‘s insane high line, more like Tottenham or Atletico.

    • @capri2673

      That vulnerability at the back has cost us all season.

    • @ostihpem
      @ostihpem 26 дней назад

      @@capri2673 Yeah, but especially in the last weeks it cost us. Before our late downfall we could somehow survive it by outscoring our opposition. But when our offense went a bit dry, the disaster did struck us. It is tragic because Klopp did such a good job that he would have deserved a 3rd major title. As it is now he wont get the true appreciation in the future. The dude was better than Guardiola but City just had constantly 50+ Mio. per season more to spend and there is only so much you can do. :(

    We were in cruise control yesterday, 4-0 up, had Spurs on the ropes, should have knocked them down. We didn't, we dropped a gear as if the game was over, we still had 20mins by that time, Richarlison came on and made a difference. The first goal in particular for Spurs, Johnson goes down our left with Gomez, gets to cross, Richarlison is chasing at this time through the middle of our defence, Quansah is ball-watching, he's a gap away from the Brazilian, who is unmarked when he touches the cross in.
    We've been leaking goals too easily, and it's been covered by victories, obviously scoring more goals than we're conceding. The dry spell we had with Atalanta and Palace found us at home not scoring, yet conceding like crazy. Not so much conceding, but how, and we've not tightened up. Quansah is up-n-coming, he needs games, while Konate is a decent shout, but we need another top class central defender with VvD.
    When form goes down, so much talk goes on about the players. Diaz may go, Salah may go, we wont be the same with JK gone, and the rest of it. Proof will be in the pudding, and it's looking to be Slot, who I'm certain will be more defensive-minded at the least. We have a new midfield which has helped us a whole bundle in its premier season, and if we can work on Nunez' finishing, keeping Jota fit, as well, we can go again for the title.
    OF course, would be nice for Slot to start well from the jump, but expectations may have to hold on for a while before things kick in. I mentioned in one comment that we look to be getting our own version of ten Hag, and someone said I was being ignorant. What I meant was he was Dutch and bald, coming from the Eredivisie. If that's being ignorant, then I've an incorrect dictionary.
    I wish people would ask or think before they comment. 🤔🤔🤔
