Appreciate his honesty and candor, especially in this segment. I am enjoying this series and am glad it was released to the public. It takes great courage to admit one’s mistakes.
These interviews are absolutely fascinating. In fact, I’m slightly annoyed that I bought into idea that only the Frost interview is valid and all others were too soft. Gannon is fair but doesn’t hold back either and consequently there are far more revelations here than anywhere else that I’ve come across.
Nixon was brilliant but I think he handled too much pressure, but that's why he was brilliant and he recognized every mistake and still strong man. Whenever I face hard times, I remember Nixon and his strength.
I’m a huge fan of President Nixon. He’s intelligent, a fighter, he has honor and he worked his ass off for everything he ever got. He did amazing things for country from dealing with Vietnam to China to handling the USSR. I do think the left is biased. The media is biased. Watergate spawned the saying that “the coverup is worse than the crime”. I agree. The “crime” was ridiculous and low level BS. His real crime was getting “caught”. He taped himself and did t have to. People were weak, ratting on others for their own personal gain. To me Watergate is nothing. Politics is so ridiculous, far far worse crimes have been done in a far more open and notorious way with no repercussions. I can’t say it enough that the media is a cancer.
Nixon should hold his head high. The political voyuerism seems spiteful in other interviews. I generally like this series of video. But, as a President, he is a human. The questions seem so personal and intrusive. Nixon seems to have built his psyche to handle such questions. I would hate to hear for the rest of my life, questions about my worst day. He has had to deal with that his whole life. He’s human. Whatever mistakes were made, he’s human. I judge him on the totality of his record. Not the watergate chum. I don’t believe any politician is pure, like a saint. Politics is a nasty business. Humans are a diabolical animal. He was a warrior. His life story should make us all proud. I am. He was a Great President. Watergate be dammed. I pray he never got down about what happened. He seems strong in will to have actually realized that hope that I have. I feel ashamed when I hear some who interview pester him with Watergate questions. It’s seems like they want to hurt him. To never let it go. Barbara Wawa, Ted Koppel etc. these people get to hide behind the camera. They have no class. Their BS never got exploited. Many people have something in their lives that remains secret. Something that if people knew would change perceptions. Nixon had something exposed on the grandest of scales. He was a good man then and remained so.
@@kennedydelapena8681 Nixon wrote a letter to Trump saying that Pat thought he would make a good president one day. Nixon was also respectful of Biden as well, but all that can really be found atm is that Call Nixon made to him after his wife and kids died.
This series is extraordinary- can’t stop watching. Thanks.
Riveting!

It’s amazing that they wanted this guy out.
