Is it possible to use the SunTech Oscar 2 Standard 24 Hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor for pets (cats) as well? For exaple with an adjusted cuff, attached to the metre? I ask this because the metre in the vid is very good but expensive to me as an owner that would love to take BP at home of my cat. He is very stressed at the vet, making it difficukt to get a reliable reading also because they use Doppler making it more complicated and stressful, Hence my question. I would be very grateful for the answer.
Hi @steensma, thanks for getting in touch. To answer your question, no, the Oscar 2 ABPM is not meant to be reliable on animals. To further explain, the vet units have a higher price point due to the amount of testing and validation that is needed to ensure our vet monitor is accurate, but also quiet. The pump in our vet monitors is our most expensive, but it is needed because it is also our most quiet pump. We don't want to add more stress to the animals. Hi Danny, Thanks for the feedback. We tried to objectively lay out the steps needed when conducting a BP measurement with a Doppler. We believe that the Vet20 is an easy and user-friendly way to measure systolic and diastolic blood pressure on cats and dogs and hoped to simply point this out.

Hi Erik, The dog is not sedated, but he is calmer since his owner is nearby.
