There are many unique aspects to Real Existence that sets it apart from many rock songs: the starts and stops, Miku's little breakout vocal line, Akane's double tempo gallop, and Kamani's solo. I mean, who would ever put that kind of solo in a rock song? But it works... just like all of the plot-twists, complex density, and genre-merging they employ on most of their material. Every section offers something different than the previous one. That's one reason many people -- unless you're a musician - may find it difficult to get into their music at first listen. As tightly integrated as it is, there's so much going on. And then you add the Japanese language and maid outfits... But for people who like and appreciate their writing, musicianship, performance and personalities, Band-Maid's beautiful cacophony of excellence offers unlimited rewards for repeat listening... and mega stardom for the Maids, imxo. Oh yeah... and BRAVO Band-Maid 2022 & 2023 USA TOURS ending at the 16,000 seat Yokohama Stadium in Nov! Thx, Joely!

Anyway when B-M star in my film "Pigeon's 5" it'll be the best film ever. This Zepp Tokyo performance is excellent. Saiki had lost her shoes just before this started, which is why MISA is having a laugh with her about her height. She got the shoes back on while Kanami was soloing. What an energetic performance from everyone in the band. My favourite Band-Miad song is, after 5 years of enjoying them, probably Wonderland, which showcases Saiki's vocals...and Sayonakidori, which showcases Miku's vocals...or the other 120_ songs that everyone shines on. Saiki didn't actually lose her shoes, she took them off; they're visible on the stage. She also didn't go into the crowd, she was held up by a stage atb the rail in front of the princess section. But the main thing us that she and MISA were having fun as Band- Maid always does 🙂
Yes sir! Saw them live earlier this year and at my advanced age(60) it's probably the best live show i have ever seen. The girls are immensely talented and you can tell they are having so much fun on stage. See them if you can , you won't be disappointed. Can't wait for the next U.S. tour!! Cheers!!
Seeing them live is like discovering their music. Once you see them you immediately want to go see them again. They are incredible live. Video does not do justice to Kanami’s pic hand. In real life it’s a blur that you can’t focus on at all.
I saw them live in Dallas, Texas 2022. An absolutely PHENOMENAL show, I loved every second of it. The only downside was that my hearing was shot for about an hour afterwards 😅
I was there too! Miku's birthday! It is loud, for sure, and MISA is a presence on stage. She may be the most impressive bassist I've ever seen, but she's not the only center of attention. Saiki is while she's singing and Kanami is while she's playing; and in the words of Mr. Rock and Roll: "AAH KAH NEIGH!!!!" It was tiring - but you won't notice until you're walking back to the car. However, as soon as the Ladies took the stage, it seemed as if time had both sped up and slowed down at the same time.
