I think it boils down to the fact he has more fans and the idea of a villain singing something for a hero-rider of a different series is funny. (Eternal did for Drive, and now Chronus did it for Cross-Z lol)
As someone who has listened to both versions and prefers Hiroyuki's, I can say that people tend to prefer the other version because this version (The original) feels kind of hollow when listening to the voices and when they enter the chorus is sounds kind off off (0:51 as an example)
