My realtor says that from last 1 year surrey homes rise from 1.4 to 1.8 detached home. He says buy now. Because only realtor decide the price of the properties. No body knows the price of their property only realtor decided the price . My realtor says now you are getting at 1.5 next year you will get for 2 million . Am very confused

Do not listen to realtor because he makes commission when you buy. Home prices are not decided by realtor, When a seller want sell thro realtor, realtor only evaluates it's price baased on current prices other homes in that area were sold. Nobody knows if and when home prices increase oppr decrease. Like Mr Kalsi advising in this video you look how much you can afford. Bank can tell you how much you can afford based on your income and how much downpayment you have. Currently 5 year fixed mortgage is at 5.1% for 25 year. For home 1,5 million, you need 20% down i.e. you need 300000 $ and morgage for 1.2 m will be approx 7 to 8 thousan $ per month, their will be property tax min 500 $ per month and then monthly bills. If you can afford this then can buy. But do not if you can't afford.
