When Monica shared that she was a trans woman then moments later successfully lip synced to only girl in the world... underrated moment
It was perfect
Chills down the spine
I agree with both your comment and your name, it’s a pleasure to meet you Clara.
The ghost of Clara. We miss you
@@BSchnizzleness may she roast in peace
Sonique coming out is a game changer. Kylie Sonique is a legend!
Rooting her for All Stars 6 ✨
#TeamKylieSoniqueMtherfckingLove
@@alcyone1480 yessss #teamkylie
That was beautiful.
I also love seeing Morgan smiling and clapping when Kylie said she's a woman. That was so cute and I love the support
she is the moment!
Morgan running to comfort Sonique was so cute and heartwarming. Cis gay men need to step up and be supportive to trans women
IKR
Yess but producer Ru going afterwards is a 😐
Yeah, Morgan went straight into action and I love her so much for doing that for Kylie.
Gay men are expected to be everyone's damn best friend
@@JorJorBinksss you’re missing the point. you don’t have to be everyones best friend, but as a cis gay man, you owe a lot of the freedoms you have right now to the trans women who paved the way for the gay rights movement. it’s important for cis gay men to remember that and uplift and support trans people on trans issues, you don’t have to be their bestfriend to be an advocate.
Moments from the first Clip
1.) Sonique coming out as trans
2.) Morgan running to make sure she is okay
3.) Mystique taking out a tissue from her bra for Nicole Paige brooks from Atlanta Georgia
Edit: Coming here after Kylie Sonique won 😭😭 our first trans winner of Drag race y'all
the tissue from the bra sent me, i had to rewind to make sure what i was seeing was real lmao
2:14
iconic in all ways
Morgan really is THAT BITCH. She got your back 100% if you're her friend. A true friend. I love her. I hope we see her on All Stars 9.
@@onetallpheeesh all stars 9 ? Why not before ? :)
No one is talking about Cynthia story is so sad , she rescheduled and her friend came just to see her & I know it hurt to feel like it was her fault I hope she healed through it all
The whole Pulse discussion made me tear up watching it the first time & especially when Cynthia talked about her friend coming just for her & passing. 🥺
That hit me hard!!
@@MothaAlienz right ut hurt
What happened?? Edit: Scratch that, I got to it. How horrible.
Heartbreaking. I know I would not be able to recover knowing that a friend came to see me and died because of it. Cynthia is a strong person.
kylie sonique’s story is one of the most powerful moments i think the show has ever had. not only has she inspired people, but she made herstory as the first openly trans contestant on drag race and she should be so proud of herself and how far she’s come with her journey. definitely my pick for the as6 crown, what a star 🤍
You couldn’t have said it better #teamkyliesoniquelove
So excited to see her on All Stars!
Well said princess. Thank you for sharing what so many of us are thinking. No matter how much I want to see her take the crown I also want to be able to just relax and enjoy everything that is Kylie Sonique love and try not to focus on the outcome.
Periodt
exactly why i’m #teamkyliesoniquelove
I love Morgan. She will punch a bully in the face, but be so kind and caring and tender to those who in need. I'm so proud of Kylie, but I'm also just so grateful that people like Morgan exist in the world.
love them both
Morgan is known to be very kind and helpful toward all queens (Ru and non-Ru girls). Once you’re under her wings - you just know you’ll be fine!
Morgan is a beautiful soul
I love Morgan too
Morgan clapping and smiling when sonique told rupaul she was a woman for the first time, makes tears well in my eye. A true sister and friend
The Sonique moment was zo raw, vulnerable and beautiful.
For Sonique, Ru is transparent AF
Old episodes were so much more real & raw.
Nina West's segment needs to be talked about more. This is the reality of the world of being LGBTQIA+. We celebrate pride today because of the dark things that have happened to us in the past. We need to remember people like Matthew Shepard always and not focus so much on the Rainbow Capitalism that is emerging.
i’m so happy that she is now speaking about the LGBTQ+ on Nick Jr! she truly deserve it after being the most kindest person ever and being so strong
PERIOD!
@@kalcriedpower I am so happy for her. If anyone can bridge together the cishet world with our world, it's definitely Nina West.
nina west is the embodiment of rainbow capitalism
@@alistofnames that makes no sense. First of all a singular person can’t be a representation of rainbow capitalism, it’s about corporations and companies. Second, she’s an open, proud gay person. What exactly do you think rainbow capitalism is?
Ongina's coming out as HIV postive was so heartwarming and a really iconic moment from S1.
Cynthia's story makes me cry. The fear is still in many lgbtq+ peoples minds even though many straight people want to say that homophobia isn't a thing anymore, it still is. Acts of violence against lgbtq people, especially trans people are the biggest problem in our community. If we don't acknowledge that, we won't be able to inact change and people will continue to loose their lives uselessly.
Especially in Russia, China, and most of the middle eastern countries, like Iran.
@@silvergir89 indeed, it’s sad to think a lot of us in western countries are pretty lucky
for some reason, straight people think that because gay marriage was made legal, that the lgbtq+ community is no longer oppressed. it's such a bigoted mindset and it makes me angry that in the year 2022 people still tend to believe that.
At 8:54 I love how Sasha peeks like that every time someone's having an important conversation, giving that indescribable look in her eyes that expresses how much she genuinely cares. She did that a few times during her season, like when she stood up about the eating disorder jokes. That moment meant so much to me, and this quality of hers is one of the reasons I admire her.
The proudest moment is when Joey Jay opening up that he is gay, he is the strongest person I've ever seen😭🖐️. First Gay contestant on the show ✨
Ikr one of my all time favourite queens so brave😭❤️
not the time to joke around
@@Sasha-jo4tw girl no need to be so serious
@@user-qs6vk2ny7f i think its pretty disrespectful to be like "haha joey gay" when things like Pulse and multiple contestants breaking down are shown in the video
@@Sasha-jo4tw but you forget that making jokes is a coping mechanism for some people regarding trauma and incredibly emotional situations. i know it can seem disrespectful to you and other people but just keep that in mind please.
Kylie “how does my makeup look”
morgan “destroyed”
kylie “dont do that to me”
I wish y’all included Peppermint’s coming out moment with Sasha! And Sasha talking about being queer while in Russia
Can we talk about Morgan’s reaction to Kylie coming out? We have no choice but to Stan.
just like jan, we have no choice but to stan✊✌️🤘
They missed JOEY JAY FOR BEING OPENLY GAY, The proudesy moment ever.
So inspirational 🥺
the first openly gay person ever, we STAN
Nina’s story is so heartbreaking. That moment made me so happy that we have queens like her to help us progress to the bright future
it hit quite hard when Pulse was mentioned again...
And to think the Pulse shooting occured in the same week as either Muhammed Ali's death or funeral, and it's been 5 years since then.
I really hope Cynthia doesn’t blame herself for her friend’s death.
@@jerickantonio7579 ik! I feel so bad
Agreed. I was keeping it together until then and then the tears started flowing.
Put Monica Beverly Hillz on all stars PLEASE SHES SO UNDERRATED
she doesn't do drag anymore unfortunately
Agreed !!!
I can imagine her coming a long way from her time on this show and having embraced herself as trans now. They talk about how she was "not really there" in her time on the show. Maybe if she comes back on and does it again, she can show more of who she really is. After all, if Sonique is getting another shot, maybe she's worth it too.
She doesn’t do drag
i love her but i think she retired
Plastique tiaras moments genuinely made me cry.
I have a very traditional heritage and whereas I’m not gay myself I stand up for lgbtq rights a lot and my grandparents hate me for it
Omg congrats on coming out happy pride 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
@@liztaylor7663 she just said she's not gay?
Me too. And because of that, I had big fights with my family. Some relatives even think i'm a lesbian!🙄🙄. You don't have to be gay to support lgbt' comunity! Wtf!?
Me too. You can see the pain she really feels at 15:06 to want to be herself and the true struggle she’s feeling. And I think the world is better if we can all empathize with and support each other.
Plastiques moments with ru was kinda corny to me.as for the other gals..I'd dare say they felt as I do.
Cynthia talking about her friend she lost at Pulse ALWAYS gets me 🥺🥺🥺🥺
That whole sonique moment and the way Morgan ran behind her immediately my heart omg
The platform Rupaul's Drag Race has given both these queens and the world is amazing!
The fracking?
@@bobbyboo22_ No no, not that 🙅♂️
@@bobbyboo22_ The fracking, Sherry Pie, this youtube comment 30 people will see.
Si, es una platform en todo el mundo 🌎 🌍 ❤️❤️
It's definitely a start, and a way to share the experiences of many marginalized people, but representation still has a long way to go.
When sonique came out to RuPaul and Morgan was so beautiful!!! (Also Morgan clapping for Sonique coming out is so cute! She's that one supporting friend who is always there for you)
13:15 Matthew Shepherd. My advanced theatre class did the whole play about what happened to him during this school year. It was about two hours long. It made me realize how horrible people can be to the LGBTQ+ community. I am straight but I am an ally. Stay strong guys. You are loved ❤🧡💛💚💙💜 we also donated to the Matthew Shepherd foundation
Aww thanks bb God bless
Thanks. Its nice to hear.
That representation is so important and so vital to keeping his legacy alive. 🏳️🌈
Thanks for sharing. We need more representation of our community and our stories 🌈
HELL YEAH! FELLOW ALLY ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 🤎🖤🤍 Y’all are amazing individuals and you’re all so strong and brave for being who you are and loving who you wanna love!!!
I also love how Nicole was immediately concerned for Sonique when she walked off and started to get up to go comfort her. She was asking permission as she got up, Morgan just went 🏃🏻♀💨
And you can see Nicole wanting to get up still to console her but not wanting to crowd and overwhelm her.
Bless NPB ❤
All the trans queen are amazing! So proud of every single one of them🏳️⚧️💓
The doors that gia gunn opened 🤣🤣🤣
The difference in Rupaul from Season 2 when Sonique walked out and he went to check on her vs Season 10 is like night and day
What happened
@msyokoming6970 vixen left the reunion and ru was passed
All of these moments are truly iconic for all the right reasons
💫😜🌈
the "why are u laughing?" sent me for no reason
SAME I WAS CRYING FROM THR NINA STORY BUT IT MADE ME GIGGLE
I didn’t get to watch All Stars season 5 and hearing Shea’s story made me cry so hard. I cannot imagine losing two people so close to me like within that span of time. I’m glad she pushed through
i missed when Rupaul actually cared for her queens in earlier seasons unlike her plastic version now that is mostly just to land a few emmys in
I don’t think ru is plastic. He looks the same as the first seasons at least one of drag which means he didn’t touch his face
@@starlitexo i don’t think they meant it in the cosmetic sense..
@@starlitexo I believe they meant plastic as in fake
exactly
24:09 had a HARD contrast cutting over to 24:42 Blame the edit
Most of this moments created a huge impact in our community via mainstream media and also inspired people especially the youth, to accept themselves for who they are.. being part of LGBTQ+ will be biggest PRIDE and no one can say anything else.
I started watching drag queen's and honestly I've never been more comfortable with myself, living in a homophobic area this made me cryyyy, we gotta stick together and end this hatred for lgbtq+ people
this show has been very inspiring!
To the fracking 🤩
Thanks for mentioning me 🤣
My favorite show for 10years plus
IT ISSS
In what context? RuPaul being fake lol?
If anyone is wondering what it’s like to be trans: the scene with Gottmik in rehearsal. Even now I have a physical reaction to it- been in similar situations and it’s really not fun
❤️
There’s a moment in the most recent episode of Drag Race España with Inti that hits really hard too, and I’m so glad that we were able to see her experience too.
I remember watching her go through that when the episode aired, and my heart just shattered completely.
@@nickluvsanimals555 absolutely!!
@@nickluvsanimals555 oh that moment with the breast plate shocked me to my core. You could see not only the emotions on her face but the physical reaction.. it looked like she was drowning and couldn’t catch air.
Nina flowers is the most insanely sweet and beautiful drag queens I have ever met, she is so insanely kind and selfless when it comes to others- none of her kindness was a tv-personality 💓
100% agree. She will always be my favorite queen because she's beautiful inside and out.
She wasn't the winner, but she was still overjoyed that Bibi won, and that's so amazing
i really wish she'd at least make a drag comeback for another season of all stars, she's genuinely my favorite queen after all these years
When they started talking about the Pulse shooting, I immediately started sobbing. Amanda Alvear was my friend's younger sister, and seeing his pain whenever he speaks of her now just breaks my heart. I feel so much for Cynthia and Trinity and everyone else that was affected by that night. And Miss Nina and her experience, and poor Shea with her father and sister... It is so amazing to me how all of these Queens can share such incredible talent while simultaneously battling all of this pain. I look up to damn near every Queen that's walked through the werkroom doors. All of these moments just solidify my respect for them all the more. I wish them all only the best the world has to offer. ♥
You should’ve called this “try not to cry (rpdr edition)”
the katya violet chachki dance moment is the most iconic i've ever seen
I feel like they should have added Asia O’Hara in the reunion that was a really powerful message
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH SISTERS
FVCK YEA
LOUDER FOR THE 💅s IN THE BACK
Liv asking Gottmik pronouns was just so heartwarming 🥺🥺🥺
I came out 7 years ago but I still don't feel proud. I try to but I just don't. This show has given me an outlet to embrace myself and my "gayness" a little bit more so hopefully I'll find my pride somewhere along the line.
Pride looks different for everyone. Being a member of the Alphabet looks different for everyone. Whenever you find what your truth is, and living it, can be enough sometimes. It doesn't have to be immediate, just on your terms. I wish you love on your journey, however long it takes to get there.
You are incredible. You have the courage to say this on the internet! Where anyone can see. That’s so courageous! Binge the show and let that feeling of pride and love of yourself and the community run over you. We’re all rooting for you. You got this. Never forget that you’re perfect and beautiful. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I just realized that Symone’s younger self look exactly like she looks today. Like, she doesn’t age. That’s iconic.
It's that Melanin rich skin and great genetics which give the appearance of amazing skin and Symone hit the jackpot with that
“why are you laughing?” -roople is a quote i live by forever (but seriously why was this included)
@Autumn Marie Danielle Enriquez roople
@Autumn Marie Danielle Enriquez it’s a joke
Just to give someone her flowers, Detox immediately stepped to comfort Monica on the stage. Loved that.
Where's Derrick Barry talking about Stonewall?
Katya’s breakdown really hit me hard the first time I saw it, it’s so reassuring to see how successful she is now. 🥺

@@gabrielaegas5005 like girls, did you bathe?
If Monica goes back to drag, I want to see her in All Stars. Been following her since I saw s5. She's had a glowup not as a queen, but as a person (talking about her mental health, she seems so happy in her insta it gives me all the good feelings)
This is exactly what we need for pride month❤️🏳️🌈

Props to Ru for not dead naming Gotmik when it was his turn for the childhood photo scene. Instead of using a name at all he let Gotmik decide what he wanted to be called, which is such a big thing for trans people. Love it ❤️
I'm a simple person, I see Symone and I click.
Gurls with taste onlllyyyy
Not them skipping Tyra and Sharon’s wins 😂

The pulse shooting conversation always gets me... This could have been all of us...
Agreed. 😔
Pulse happened shortly after I came out and I became a main part of a queer group at my college that went to a gay club every Friday. I had never felt so connected and loved and then so immediately torn down in such a short amount of time.
Okay but Katya and Violet during the tango… I’m drooling like Wendy Williams
This one of me and my daughter favorite shows. On Fridays we get our snacks and lock up in the room to watch. Cant wait for all stars to start.
Thank you for sharing this with your daughter. RPDR can be fluffy and jokey but offers so many moments of humanity and diversity- moments that I wish I could have seen growing up. 🖤
I genuinely believe that Bebe & Nina’s final lipsync was so amazing. Two friends having fun, bouncing off each other, and both killing it. That moment when Bebe went through Nina’s train was iconic.
I wish Ru was still a person.
Good take.
This is such a good vibe
we need a part two with monique talking about her experience with her faith, monet talking about hiding drag from her parents, TKB and ongina coming out as HIV positive, olivia lux's grandma, jiggly coming out as trans, rock m sakura... this video had me crying but so many good moments were left out!
Symone's speech which addresed to yourself young is very touchable moment.
Okay but Jinkx has come a long way with her makeup 5:05
The conversations about Pulse really puts stuff in perspective! It is so heartbreaking to think so many people in the LGBTQ+ have been affected! RIP to those people who were affected by such a tragedy❤❤❤
These are brave souls. I remember the days when I had to take the long route home from high school because I was hounded and beat every day in the late 70's and 80's. Young men abandoned by families to die alone when AIDS was just coming out. Trans people denied housing and jobs to be murdered too frequently. I couldn't be gay while serving in the Navy or be thrown out. With every generation it gets a bit better but lots of hate still happens. All these brave souls are the strongest people you will ever meet in your lifetime. Be yourself and your tribe will come.
ongina's story told the world that dragrace isn't just some competition.
It is so much more than that. It introduces us not only to the positive vibe of the comunity but also the flipside.
She was the first person to do that and i truely believe that her bravery made it so Queens of futer seasons had it just a little easyer to talk abouth the bad stuff.
Expects to see Joey Jay's existence
people forget theres gayness in this tv show🏳️🌈💞 #joeyjay #proud #comingout #joeyjayisgay
