    You could also just save your money in the bank. Few months back, I decided to invest in stocks and today my money is down by more than 40%. I am also yet to see somebody that actually made real money from this

      People actually make much from the market... although they usually have more expertise than average...It's a goldmine and that's why almost every rich person buys into it one way or another... It didn't work out fine for you doesn't mean it's not real.

    • @hildredscali1754
      @hildredscali1754 6 месяцев назад +5

      True. You can also use an FA there to compensate for expertise, they know their way around the market and taxes better. I've been using one since covid and I'm stunned that most people don't use this but prefer "gambling" and complaining they lost their money. Not that I'm netting a million but considering how I started out, I make more than enough

      just finding out there are taxes wow. I have also considered using an adviser but I don't know how to go about it. please, what are the steps for getting one? like a really good one.

      You should start by looking out for those from known firms and good track records. You should also make sure the person is licensed. Personally, I use Kelly Matwick. She's good and you could also look her up. Goodluck

    My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.

      Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience.If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.

      A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

    Investing in various sources of income that are independent of the government should be the most essential thing on everyone's mind right now. especially in light of the global economic crisis at the moment. The time is still right to invest in stocks, precious metals, such as gold and silver, as well as virtual money.

    When the market goes down then it's buying opportunity. If the market goes up then you are making money. If you stay invested and ignore the market's ups and downs, you'll make a lot of money in the long run; however, a severe market correction causes a lot of margin calls and sell-offs, driving the market even lower. currently, I'm up 13% in my diversified portfolio. As crazy as it sounds some still make enormous returns from this seemingly unknown market. gotta be greedy when others are fearful

      I'm MUCH more interested in buying stocks now that they are cheap. You can't just sit on cash waiting for the market to drop 10% before you start buying. The best strategy is to start buying in slowly and then gradually increase the pace of buying as the prices continue to drop. Cash isn't king at all in this era

      No commissions on buying/selling.
      Forex charges to convert inr to usd and transfer money to your brokerage account around 1% by sbm bank (if you use vested direct) + 45 rs GST for transfers upto INR 25000. Above that also, its negligible gst (something like 90 rs for 50000 or so).
      $11 (drivewealth fee) when you withdraw from brokerage account to bank account. That too you can do it once for a large amount and save costs.
      I have used vested for almost a year. Its pretty smooth and simple in terms of experience.
