I wonder what they were thinking when they came up with Rushdown. "Hey, you know that thing that makes you do double damage and often gives you energy? What if it drew cars as well"
Timestamps for when Jorbs picks up the card and relic in the thumbnail (Conjure Blade and Ice Cream): Conjure Blade: (18:41) Ice Cream: (20:00) Not quite the order I expected those to be picked up in, but then again it's not like he had much of a choice on _what_ the transforms were.
Or, alternatively, this is a video just shy of 7 minutes if you're only interested in the best stuff. Sure, the run is entertaining, but the spreadsheet is where the magic really happens!
Official Slay the Spire 1 is a finished game (no more major patches, only maintenance patches). The revealed roster for Slay the Spire 2 doesn't have Watcher. (Revealed characters are Ironclad, Silent, and the brand new Necrobinder.) Spire 2 might not have stance dancing at all, which would eliminate the Rushdown problem.
@@onlylettersand0to9 I would be surprised if the final game of StS2 doesn't have defect and/or watcher, though maybe the devs have already said that the 3 shown are going to be the only characters and I just haven't seen it? Idk.
Can someone explain Jorbs' spreadsheet system? I think I kinda get it but would be cool to have a definitive understanding. (To my understanding he assigns a value 1-10 based on some criteria, then calculates whether doing the thing is worth, but how these values are assigned and what A1, Scaling, etc, mean are all greek to me
He assign values on the cards by experience, with 2 columns, value on act 1 and value for late game. Swift strike is very good in act 1 and super bad late for exemple so its average value is pretty low. Then there is the calculated column that calculate how lucky are you to get a card that has at least X value on average. Then a column that does the same for a choice of 3 cards. If you think you value a card only if itls average value is 7, look at the % for what are the odds of getting at least value 7 in a 3 cards choice and you get the probability
The values are his personal opinion after thousands of hours playing. A1 is act one. Scaling is whether the value of it (what you might call strength or power, but those are already StS terms) grows with the character, i.e. into later acts
saw "1 m---- ago" and assumed i had missed one last month but no it is here right now
Watching this an actual month later
The sheer volume of speadsheeting shared here is staggering. My brain is getting a serious headache! 👄
Expunger to Grim Reaper: "Was I a good card?"
Grim Reaper: "No"

It wouldn't be so broken if it didn't give infinite

Holy cow, so early! Thank you for this by the way, it's invaluable.
6:50 if you’re a crazy person who wants to skip premium spreadsheet content.

Best contribution of Expunger was for the youtube title :)
Legends say it's still expunging til this day
I love that the first 7 minutes are picking whale bonus... This is why we love Jorbs!
Maybe Rushdown could be “Draw three cards the first time you enter wrath each turn”

Jorbs I know it's terrible but I wish you had taken master reality after Conjure blade Ice cream! It's the dream.
