***April 29th update!!!! Go onto the game as normal... then where it says “install multi player” click on it and it will take you to a menu of everything you have/ have not installed... and at the top it will say you need to install “data” you need to install that as it’s for multi player, campaign and warzone... its an 18 gb update. After that you will be good to go ;)

I've had a problem with modern warfare I got modern warfare in physical form and I already had warzone installed so basically instead of installing modern warfare files the files mixed together confusing the console when I open modern warfare it literally says CALL OF DUTY WARZONE modern warfare and the takes me to the warzone tab and tells me I haven't purchased modern warfare I uninstalled warzone and reinstalled modern warfare which left me with 5 items to update I'm I'm downloading it rn warzone is now out of the 5 items list . The disc itself comes with 5 items

Multiplayer pack
Special ops pack
Adding something to the pack would mean I'll confuse the disc and the console mixing the files together after uninstalling warzone and reinstalling modern warfare hopefully it should be good

dude, ive been trying to play season 3, the game is permanently stuck at the first black screen with the dude with the ninja sword. i’ve deleted and redownloaded the game twice and the same shit happens. i can’t get into campaign, specops, warzone or multiplayer. it’s so frustrating
Can’t say I’ve come across that issue yet man... maybe contact Xbox support and send them an email... sorry I’m not much help with that

Hey dude. I tried uninstalling my Modern Warfare many times. And I just can't do anything right. I tried watching YT vids but still, I can't find a solution. Can you help me out here? I've tried everything. Still can't get it to load. Says I'm missing the "multiplayer data pack" but all the add-ons are installed.
whenever i click on a pack to download it it just has a blank screen and when i try to download data pack 2 it says its unavailable
Out of all the crap that's out here this was the only one that actually worked thank you saved me alot of heartache and pain trying to call Xbox who weren't ever there...

If it does that. Put the disc in. Search the game on the store. And install from there. You shouldn’t have to buy it it should see that you own it on disc. You just need to install it manually.

I've downloaded the COD MW and all its packs. The game won't let me play. When I click on campaign mode or multiplayer mode it says I'm missing one or more DLC packs. And on top of all of this, it doesn't even give me a WarZone tab as an option.
These are the packs that I have and all already installed
COD MW war Zone- 99.7GB
COD MW campaign pack1 - 11.1GB
COD MW campaign pack2 - 15.6GB
COD MW data pack1 - 18GB
COD MW multiplayer pack - 5.9GB
COD MW multiplayer pack2 - 9GB
COD MW operator pack - 10MB
COD MW special ops pack - 16.6GB
For some reason since the new update, loads of people can’t access the game even though they have installed everything. Some people have tried uninstalling everything and trying again (I wouldn’t recommend it) there’s a troubleshooting page online where you can go through the options and see what the case is - support.activision.com/modern-warfare/articles/known-issues-in-call-of-duty-modern-warfare

after that can you install big size Call Of Duty : Modern Warfare 99.7 GB or 97.06 GB
I don't over yet, i wait big size part to install and i come back with best news. But for first time i have access to Multiplayer local (LAN) if i can't play Campaign, i'll unplug my console, just out the power cord and after put in. I will be back as soon as possible with an update about it.

I got a game cd as a present. Installed last night, went to play it says im missing campaign pack1 although all of them are there and installed via game cd.. restarted console still no luck.. will try to reinstall but i bet it will be same.. Cant find a reall answer to this issue.

Samless the only packs you need to play multiplayer are the 2 multiplayer packs and the data pack that's how i play

You have not purchased or are missing the downloadable content Data Pack 1. Download and install it.
Possibly still missing a campaign pack? Check the store to make sure you’ve downloaded all the packs you need

And says you need to buy the game.

It's not letting me load into the game at all atm :( my games still saying 100%, ready to start after the update then it goes black screen then it freezes and is all laggy when I get to first menu literally cant do anything 😂😩

Easy way go into warzone the main menu (where it says PLAY) before you press play ,there will be a button to Manage Installs (for Xbox is RS) then it will take you to a separate menu and download Multi-player pack and you should be good its 22gb update
When I do that it jumps me back to the first option FFS 🤦🏻♂️ they’ve seriously fucked up the MW client with they’re shitty warzone

Theirs better way to do it. Take your disc out, then press on the Xbox button on your controller and restart your Xbox. Worked for me. Hope this helped

I got mine working, I have the disc. Let the disc install as normal. Then go to press the start button, and a menu will pop up saying manage disc contents or something. Install all 4 packs. Then load the game from the disc. Then it should want you to add one more campaign pack from the warzone menu. Install it, restart the game. And it works.2023

My brother has this on Xbox and recently a new XS version and the game still doesn’t work if anything it’s more broken he can’t even get passed the menu since it constantly freezes on and off. Then it loops as if he restarted the game.

@@ACTVRLADR it suddenly just started to work again after having it uninstalled after whole. I’m not too sure what happened. Tbh has to do cross play that’s for sure. I’ve never seen a video game perform so vastly different amongst different devices. And sometimes worse than others. Idk how some people were able to play, mostly I think because many of the servers are filled with hackers (but hey I’m just a hater right?) but it’s been proven for a long time now COD has had a cheating issue and it’s gotten as bad the games themselves are catered to anyone who can properly run the game. Sadly it’s useless to use any last gen consoles for current gaming. If it’s literally breaking current gen consoles what makes you think it’ll work for last gen?

Unplug all cables, disconnect from internet, reconnect everything then was met by create account screen.

Same. I don't think there's much you can do because there's no way to contact Scamtivision and Xbox doesn't know what to do. I've took my Xbox to a shop and they're having a look at it.

I owned modern warfare first then I downloaded the warzone cause I was out of town and left my games at home so that all I had and when I came back to play at home it said I didn’t own the game

I’ve never experienced anything like this in my whole life of playing video games lol and it’s disappointing when I contacted activision about they said it’s an Xbox issue they need to fix it so I go to Xbox and they are refusing to acknowledge that this problem even exists like are they serious!! I even told the ‘higher team’ they call themselves if you think this isn’t a issue just look at the product reviews on the store where lots of people are saying the same as me. Just seems to me like us players are all stuck with this neglected issue of theirs...
