The CREO to ANSYS interface makes simulating product designs much easier. However it can do much more. This video shows some very useful features such as material properties import and parametric design optimization.
If you are going to spend the time to make a model parametric, might as well take advantage of the parametric optimization and design exploration capabilities to really super charge your design process.

Thank you very much for your video. I am now getting familiar with these two software. I used to NX nastran and inventor, which were pretty easy to use 3D CAD and 3D FEM. But the unauthorized Ansys softwares are pretty easy to install, which is the reason I think many companies in China use Ansys.
