Cliff Martinez is the composer of this masterpiece. He was in the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. He composed the entire FC4 soundtrack. Ubisoft sometimes really shines and this is one those times. Absolute gem of a game I must have played it 30+ times and I'm in the midst of another playthrough. But once again i come back to this menu music..just wow. Makes me wanna meet a Nepali woman and settle down there!!

Top 5 game from last gen for me. Beautiful environment sandbox game. I would pause game for a break and just sit with headphones on listening to this. Very peaceful. Wasn't expecting Zen from Far Cry game lol. Good times.
I love the fact that you added a slideshow of all the animals to this track :). I almost forgot there were some soundtrack clips that make you want to see what's in the video.

*Spoilers ahead, if you haven't played the game and intend to do not continue* After finishing all of the endings, this music takes on a certain tragedy. All of that effort of joining the Golden Path, having to choose a leader based on who you feel is right, the other guilting you for your decision, being sent to murder the other to protect Kyrat from more bloodshed, deciding whether to pull the trigger or not, culminating in killing the bad guy you've been after for the entire game... but he wasn't really the bad guy. Pagan would have GIVEN you his kingdom, YOUR kingdom, if you just waited for him at the start of the game. And the leader you chose for the Golden Path turns out to be just another bloodthirsty dictator. Pagan Min had all of your answers from the start, and you most likely killed him in your first (true) playthrough. Amita and Sabaal manipulated you for their own gain. And now, the menu music has become sad because the story of Kyrat is sad. Amazing game, amazing writing, characters, and a killer soundtrack that captures the emotion of the story. *That's a 10*
Pagan never hid the fact that the war in Kyrat turned him insane and never hid the fact he was a sociopath. He let you slaughter his generals on purpose hoping that would turn you in to the golden path leader.
eventhought this is a year old, i agree that far cry 4 is the most underrated game in the franchise, just wish the story was better with the golden path shit besides that gameplay was absolutely perfect, unlimited fun

With Pagan and the Golden Path leader dead, I’m guessing Ajay is now the leader of Kyrat. Knowing that gives me some hope for the country afterwards, that somehow the people of Kyrat can work to restore the country, without Pagan or Amita/Sabal taking the country in the wrong direction
It's enlightening to still come across others who enjoy this masterpiece they call a game. From the story, free roaming and of course the OST's that was what made this game ahead of its time way back when
As I watch this political dispute take place from afar, I'll be ready munch on some popcorn while I listen to the Zen of pure serenity that is this very ost which has been imbued into this masterpiece of a game.
I like this kind of ambience but only this style so unexplainable and dark yet peaceful and stimulating. Walk into a forest on a sunny day while listening to this and you will see things and stuff more intense with a second thought about it. Nearly the same is used for battlefield hardline on the deploy screen while playing online and in battlefield 4 during the damm mission at the start

I thought far cry 5 gave me the most realistic immersive gameplay ive ever felt, the map was so beautiful and felt realistic,it also felt creepy which i liked a lot,when fishing and some enemy popped out of nowhere in a boat and i blasted it with a rocket,the sounds were amazing.

Far cry 4 was truly the magnum opus of the far cry franchise, when they added the features that would later on make 5 a really good game...

You know these games are great when even the pause menu music is memorable. The newer Far Cry games have none of this energy.
5,6 and new dawn are trash and not even near the original far cry experience as it should be. Primal was the last good far cry made
