No big secrets here...why you saying you're crazy for posting what is standard process for small scale logging? That "toy size" gear ain't the greatest either. A 40-60 hp tractor and even diy or store bought skidding winch and tractor size forwarding trailer would be better. All gear been around for decades too. Your ATV (which is a toy) can barely move that load, and it's not even full.

Lots of comments on how to do it better, ignore them. You’re doing well, keep up the good work!

I don't want to pee on your campfire but that toy winch would drive me nuts and I would load those twigs faster by hand.

A lot of money invested for very lightweight gear.

I've designed similar winching systems and burned out at least four 12 volt winches before going to the Lewis chainsaw winch. The electric winches are not rated for continuous duty and burn out.

How old are the logs you are harvesting? If your dad has run the mill for 15 years what are you doing with all that lumber? Do you have a way to dry the wood ?

Love the work gear. I noticed it wasn't listed. Pants, protection, etc. Great video and background music

Where do I find a hoist like that to fit on my atv. Keep the good work. By the way those children are so beautiful or cute.

I would go for a petrol engined crane grab, but with these long logs you might be best with what you have , I see you have the supervisors with you , they will keep you right.

Do you put tracks on it in the winter? If not try it, these ATV's are beast with track on in the snow to take wood out of the woods. Thanks for sharing your video.

Is there brakes on that trailer

Even though I have a large tractor and winch I often use my wheeler and trailer. I always pick the load off the trailer with the tractor and a couple chains and place on a log deck. My mill has no hydraulics. Your forest is like a garden of trees. Very nice demo.
