Great book, VERY well written, Elyssa is a very talented writer, I so want to go to Dogtown and see and feel everything I read about. It really reminded me of an abandoned settlement/ghost town in CT that I visited several times, Dudleytown.
I'm from Gloucester. I know Dogtown better than most. It truely is a special place.I can't begin to describe the feelings you get when your there. There have been many deaths of people I've known. I go there often.
Anne is my Aunt. She was murdered when I was around 4 years old so I don’t remember her well. I think you spoke with my mother Carol about the book sometime ago. She is pretty severely mentally ill. Curious to chat if you’re open to it?
@resdsox1 Finished the book and it was fascinating! I've often explored it via Google Earth which is amazing--you can visit all the rocks and little paths from the safety of your den! A field trip with a group of people would be fun, I just wouldn't want to be there by myself at 2:30 in the morning or even 3:00 a.m.!

Great book. I like the "Study" rock. Babson Boulder. The inspiration of "Study" is great.
I'm reading the book right now--absolutely riveting! Wouldn't want to go there, 'tho!
