Emory Hunt is highly experienced as a talent evaluation but he is just another Daniel Jones' hater. If Drew Lock beats out Daniel Jones as a starter, presuming Daniel Jones is healthy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be elected President of the United States. Emory Hunt extols the height and weight of college quarterbacks, but ignores that Daniel Jones is 6'5" 240 lbs. and is a fast runner.

Thank you Emory. I've been seeing the same things with Rattler. To go to a not-so--known for football school and stayed an additional year and improved.... I want Giants to get him. Also has leadership skills. He's always did. Just had to learn to use it the right way. Not tear down his teammates. It's gonna be a big miss if Giants have a chance and don't get him. I like Michael Pratt too.
Love the show Pat! Keep up the good work!

The funny thing to me is that when Emory was on Big Blue View I disagreed with him on nearly everything, but here I absolutely love his takes. Either way he's a good interview. I think the Giants are serious about Drew Lock.

Emory describes Rattler as "battling through adversity".. okay.. I call it underachieving and not handling pressure well. If you like Rattler... then wait till the 3rd or 4th round. Drafting him higher makes no sense when nobody is clamoring to draft him higher. Drafting Jordan Travis is intriguing... he's going to be a Rd 6 or 7 pick. If he could get picked in a late round by a team with talent that could develop him -- like Minn, Seattle, or LA Rams... he could do something. But the Giants have no impact players on offense... if I'm a QB prospect I'm hoping the giants don't take me.

I EVALUATE PLAYERS & EVALUATORS AND I WILL SAY EMORY HUNT IS ONE OF THE FEW TALENT EVALUATORS I RESPECT AND TRUST ALONG W/ CHRIS SIMMS. MOST OTHER SCOUTS WHEN I LOOK AT THEIR EVALUATIONS IT COMES OFF AS "POLITICAL" & GROUP THINK AND MOST OF THEM DON'T UNDERSTAND THE INTRICACIES OF THE TEAMS THEY ARE MOCKING, ITS GENERIC I.E., "THE GIANTS NEED A QB" YES THEY DO BUT NOT AT #6 FOR A REACH! WHEN THE OFFENSE IS LIKE A GUN W/ NO BULLETS, SO IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO IS PULLING THE TRIGGER!! THE NYG NEEDS FIREPOWER! #1 NABORS 2# HARRISON #3 ODUNZE

Might saeem like a hot take but it's really not, especially given how Daboll deals with injuries. My guess would be by the time week 1 comes around DJ is "day to day" and Lock is starting. Doesn't mean DJ won't play though, I just think DJ will play only when he is fully healed, midseason maybe.

You guys are nuts these prospects have been evaluated by scouts for two or three years. It's all a projection. You look for unique talents and abilities production in college.is not a determining factor
Next year's draft offers very little at potential Q NFL potential
The NFL has changed. You need athletic QBs with unique passing of platforms throughs

The main focal point of PL is DJ bad. There's not much beyond that. I listen in the last few & there is this uncanny CNN-like DJ derangement syndrome going on with PL. I would bet PL was all in on Kenny Golladay / DeWayne Haskins / Malik Willis trade the farm for Russel Wilson guy. I'm sure PL will die on the Saquan hill of him being disrespected. Not really buying in on PL vision of what PL thinks is good about NYG football so much.
