    once again an honest review and visually on screen the quality and finish is very good I agree. Like all items the user and good operative ALWAYS tunes / hones his tools to his own feel and use. Thanks a lot Bill for all you do for the Fraternity of Lockpickers.

    Major props to the fine companies that are taking suggestions from the public for improving their products. Now if the app devs would do the same..
    Thank you for your time spent reviewing these products and continued support to the lock sport community.

    I bought two of these, one for me and one for a friend who introduced me to your channel, thank you sir for the content. Because of you I have learned a new skill and found a fun and challenging hobby. I follow your advice, picks from Sparrow and just received the cutaway locks and training lock set with the added pins for later, all have been well worth the price in fun.

    Hey Bill, I just wanted to let you know that you got me out of a real bind yesterday. I've been watching your videos and it got me interested enough to begin teaching myself to pick locks. As luck would have it I showed up at work without my key to open my cabinet where my laptop is stored, but I managed to pick the lock using 2 sewing pins and get working on time thanks to you! I'm going to keep my homemade picks on me at all times now until I pick up (or hopefully win!) A professional set. Thanks for providing such great content and being a cool guy!

    Thanks for the Rereview on the Multipick Jack Knife. Bought one after seeing your first review on this product. I was disappointed in the quality because the screw that held the picks in place was lose and wouldn't stay tight to secure the picks in the handle. Not what I expected from a product from Germany. Hope their fix brings their product back to the quality expected from a made in Germany product. Thanks for the Videos Bill, please keep them coming.

      The Avid Picker can't disagree with you. But please watch out. The 10 extra picks version is actually 52.99€, so NOT under 40 dollars! Still a great price though.

    Love the videos. FYI, I have had a large desire to learn lock picking and to be a lock smith.. for about 40 years. As a auto tech for most of my life.. I have gotten into cars they say I couldn't. .. and now with watching you.. I am starting to get into it.. so I hope I can get the "Feel" for it.. she always told me I was pretty good with my hands! :-)
    I hope I win on of the kits.. thanks again Bill..

    madbobs really surprised me too with their "unfinished" option.
    because of your review they were my first good pick set I bought.
    Not wanting to wait the additional time I chose to finish them myself, but when I got them I thought they had made a mistake and finished them anyway.
    Great job Madbobs!

    I love mad bob. Just got the (limited) ghost pro tactical max from them and it only took two weeks from the time I ordered it to show up at my door. It seems like they have worked on that waiting time for certain products.

    I can't believe I'm giving the great Bosnian Bill advice, but to take the tension wrench out of the multipick, you press it down in middle with your thumb and slide it out, you can literally do it one handed.

    So after seeing this video, and just after checking the new knife picks like 3 days ago. I NEED to inform you, they actually changed the price. The 39.99€ version (just under 39$) is without the 10 additional picks, also its the wrong link. The 52.99€ version is with the 10 additional picks. As for the magnet, I can't get informed about its inclusion in the cheaper version.
    It would be nice to see some kind of annotation to emphasize this fact. But I think you do not boost sales, just because you ordered an extra kit to verify ;).

    And now I'll be buying a Jackknife thanks to the community. The picks they included in the original version didn't make any sense to me. But now, dare I say it's as perfect as a mass produced product can be. (Not slamming Multipick. Pick choice can be pretty personal).

    Might have to PICK on of those up hehehe. Seems like it might be handy to have, all tidy in one spot. Not real sure on the ergonomics and feel though? Feedback ok? I didn't see the previous video, I'm new to your page, but love learning. Just getting into the hobby. Hoping to send you a SERIOUS challenge lock one day, as I am a Mechanical engineer by design hehehe. Let me know Bill, is it just for in a pinch, or does it give feedback enough for single picking ?

    I love my mad bob jackknife pick set, and that's more or less because it has a bogota. You're never going to SPP your way into something substantial with any jackknife pick set...but there are times when you can't pass a lock without raking the bugger open.

They are identical size and all but came in a black sheath and don't say madbob on them. Can't recall where I got this set but it was at the same time I ordered madbob set but didn't have to wait two months to receive, any ideas about what this other set is? I think I ordered it within a day or two and for some reason thought I learned of it from this channel. Any help here? I do notice that the black sheath which picks are not name labeled has a snap closure and the branded set in the green sheath is velcro

      Pixxel lol, wow. You nailed it. I just searched dangerfield in my email history and there it was! Ordered from ukbumpkeys. Must have been a comment I read from the original video that lead me there to make the decision to buy this set knowing it would arrive quicker than the madbobs because I didn't want to wait.. I spend too much money and time with this hobby! Its funny though because I go weeks and months without touching a lock, but then go for weeks or months practicing picking when I watch a video that gets me in the mood again. I guess i'm back to picking again...

      Not all stainless steels are non-magnetic.

    • @rpmstl
      @rpmstl 6 лет назад

      It depends on the grade of stainless.400 grade stainless is magnetic, 300 grade stainless is non-magnetic.

    • @newyrider4540
      @newyrider4540 6 лет назад +1

      Exatly right and there claiming it's 301

    • @Chlorate299
      @Chlorate299 6 лет назад +2

      Depends on the heat treat - in its annealed condition 301 is non-magnetic, it becomes magnetic when hardened. I can't find anything from Multipick that says what material they use. However Sparrows say they use 301, and they are definitely magnetic.

    I’m a big fan of both companies . However ,the sale that Mad bob’s has isn’t that great in my opinion, after shipping and handling if you life in the U.S. your paying close to $50, and I find the picks bend but I carry the Zombie kit with me when I’m on duty.

      @WestCoastPicks 6 лет назад

      frank doemen sure I guess. I suggest trying some other manufacturers. Southord is even better. I have literally never seen a worse name brand of picks. Sparrows bend way to easy, they flex so much you lose all feeling of the inside if the lock. They also don't last very long. I personally make my own picks, but if I were to buy picks I would buy Peterson.
      Sparrows is just trash. Objectively.

    • @frankdoemen

      I've tried a bunch of companies,,i'm not a fan of southord.peterson is good last the longest, i'm from Canada shipping is to much tho,i just like feedback and how slim shaft is on sparrows,,,,my sparrows short hook is my go too,,i buy them 10 at a time,,,homemade picks sound awesome
