No, the returns shown does not include the expense ratio. The mutual fund returns generated minus the expense ratio will be the net return earned by the investor

Quick question - whenever a fund is calculating returns do they subtract the expense ratio fees and show the return or they dont consider expense ratio

No, the returns shows do not include the expense ratio. That's why, you need to check the expense ratio and subtract it from the mutual fund returns to get the net returns.
