Morcaiden Brother I'm grieving over the loss of Walter Becker they have been in my life for years and may he rest in peace thank you for all you do God bless you brother
Sorry I didn't reply, Andre! I think I've been in a bit of denial about the news. I've got this poster of Don and Walt over my computer and I can't imagine that duality not existing anymore - like the sun without the moon. RIP Walter, and the music lives on for the ages.
You should see all the ones that were taken down by RUclips over the years - never to be seen again. Makes me weep. Glad you discovered "Misery" - DF at his finest.
Don't know whether to thumbs up your comment or thumbs down to Youtibe censorship. Boy, what a dilemna! Didn't know this track at all. Is it from an album I can source? Thanks for posting!
Donald Fagan. What can one say. A extremely talented musician, arranger, producer and genius lyricist. A change of tempo with this song but as with all he touches, it’s just beautiful
If they were still in this realm... DONALD - You would have been a recurring: SPECIAL GUEST @ - MINTONS - On a regular basis! And THAT IS THE TRUTH. PERIOD !
DF played this on his 2006 tour to promote the Morph the Cat album. It’s a cover of a Jack Teagarden song. There are a couple of soundboard recordings around from that tour, and this is taken from one of those, possibly the Toronto show.
But since we are in this realm... Let's get a surrey with fringe - AND - Have a happy rendition of our time on BORROWED " NEUKES TIME? " how bout it ........
Man! Another one I've never heard.

I hope future music historians will acknowledge this and put him up there with Cole Porter.

D. Fagen meets Mose Allison
Wouldn't be surprised if it was a source of inspiration! DF goes deep into old piano masters.
@@Morcaiden I'm guessing DF's catalog to date is so vast and varied, he's got an endless source of material to tap into.
Missin Walter fo sho in this mess of hotness!
