Yep. Large mouth Nannygai or saddletail snapper. Been lots in the broadwater including keepers (over 40cm) - They feed more at night and always swallow the hook!

Hi Scott I use Silstar rods 7 foot 4 to 7kg I get them from Sporty's warehouse 32 strathaird rd Bundall for around $70 really good for the money Best reel for the money are penn battle 2 4000 on line at dinga.com.au for $139 go into bcf and show them that price and they always match it for me Put 20 lb braid on but always use a mono leader look this up on youtude how to connect braid to mono I use about 2 to 3 metres of mono leader Hope this helps Thanks for watching Tight lines🐟
Hi rob I buy fresh mullet fillet from seafood shop Harbour seafood or charis on the broadwater Cut it across the fillet to the size of your little finger Put hook through the top about 5mm from top Tight lines🐟
cool. i might have caught one of these on my last trip. tossed it back as i may have miss identified it as a red bass. no take fish due to that fish toxin. Either way good times. the large mouth is also known as a saddle tail snapper brown mark on the top neer the tail fin.

I love fishing through the Broadwater but I really have troubles anchoring with the standard anchor would a plough work better?
