On the speakers a song started to play due to the system beginning to glitch out. The crew sang along, “what a wonderful world” knowing they’d never see the sky again. The ship started falling apart faster until only the command deck stood, making the captain and the pilot the last ones left. The systems shut down completely, an echo of the song left in their minds. Crying the captain finishes the song, as the command center shut down completely before breaking apart, throwing them into the void, where no echos could be heard
I literally have this saved somewhere to remember how amazing of a write you made to this certain song and woah. After 8 months now I still read it over now and then as I game and I think to myself what a wonderful world. ;P

I imagined the character singing while destroying his own or another planet while contemplating its beauty
while at the end with the last verse I imagine that he has found another planet.... and the cycle continues
