The Switch Optare Metrocitys Enter Service on Route W5

Today,the switch Optare Metrocitys enter service on Route W5. On 4 February 2023, the route was retained by Stagecoach London using existing Alexander Dennis Enviro200 Darts and Optare Solos.
On 6 July 2024, the allocation was transferred to Walthamstow Avenue (AW) garage. At the same time, the existing Alexander Dennis Enviro200 Darts and Optare Solos were replaced by brand new and existing Switch Mobility MetroCity EVs.
The W5 has a PVR of 7. The route runs between Archway and Harringay Superstores via Hornsey Lane,Sheperds Hill,Crouch End and Hornsey Vale.The length is 4 miles[7 KM] and the frequency is every 12-20 minutes. These metrocitys were previously on the 124 and are now being shared between 379 and W5.

I've only just checked the W5 at 8:55 this morning, and I indeed saw these patches of Metrocities taking over the route.
