That was one thing that inspired me so about this video. He wasn't crying for himself, he actually seemed joyous. He even said "How many role calls will I have to miss?, because it's like he was holding on because we didn't want him to go. But he seemed ready. And we were truly blessed to have known this man of God.

My daughter died of pancreatic cancer and throughout her journey home to Our Father she confessed her love in worship to Him. Loved Him even though her healimg didn't happen on this side. The PROCESS is completed now! Glory to God! She is healed and whole!
No matter how old his sermons are and have been heard by me, G.E.Patterson was one preacher that touches my heart every time!!! He is truly missed, and I thank GOD for his ministry.
Even though he has left this Earth I still enjoy hearing him preach he reminds me so much of my grandfather my grandfather was a Baptist Minister he start ministering at the age of 19 when he passed away he was ninety-two years old here to different churches that he was the pastor of he was at 1 church for 47 years and another for 52 years never once in my whole life have I heard my grandfather raised his voice unless he was preaching in the holy Spirit had came down upon him this is the same way I feel about Bishop Patterson love sharing him love it
I am a frequent critic of the Pimps in the Pulpit that exploit the Black Community to live lavish lifestyles. I watched this preacher on Sundays and he struck me as genuine and not in it for just money. He is one of the handful of preachers that have my respect and I am sure his church and community misses him.

Yes it was. It's very rare to preview the faces of those saddened, before their funeral. Even though I'm sure Bishop's heart was touched by this, he had more joy on his face than the worshippers. I feel he was letting them know, he knew where he was going, and was happy. He remained that general warrior for God. His voice still had that strength in it. He was a well loved man, by many.

Been watching pastor Patterson since my grandma showed me him in 2020. Been watching him every since. He seemed like a every down to earth man. God bless his soul. I thank God for my grandma that’s still going strong (85) for showing me him💗

I am sitting here looking at this video full of tears and not of sorrow but of the joy of the Lord of how his servant Bishop Patterson was so humble he is missed and I must say he’s a rare preacher there aren’t many like him he has inspired me greatly God bless his wife and family
If our love could have saved GE Patterson, he would be here right now. This man was not just loved by his congregation but worldwide too. To me he was almost like a father, as others may have felt that too, just the way he looked at everyone's face with love, and care. He's the beginning of my testimony to when I first began my journey to know God, back in the 80s. As I was going through something bad dealing with work related stress,almost to a breaking point, crying as I drove to work,not wanting to go there. And one morning I heard GE Patterson on my car radio speaking, and I heard. His words were so comforting, giving me faith,hope,belief and trust in God. I believe why I heard him is he spoke every word so clear, taking his time,not running them together. Then he played a Shirley Caesar song, and she was my next inspiration. I just felt their heart, their genuine love to help those hurting. He has helped bring many souls to Christ, and we know God is very pleased with soul saver. It's hard for many to realize our outer body is just a shell that houses our soul. It's the soul that is more precious to God. Our soul is beautiful, and Bishop G.E.Patterson saved a lot of us from hell's fire. "Well done thou good and faithful servant". His spirit lives on. Words cannot express.✌❤

I grew up COGIC, admittedly I struggle with some of the antics. But Bishop Patterson was a real encouragement to me. I never saw this video, it's 4:30am at the time I'm watching this. Almost 4 years ago I went to the E.R / E.D. because I had pain I couldn't get rid of. From the E.R. I was taken to the Liver Transplant Department, I had never smoked, drank alcohol etc like good COGIC ppl do. But I was told that I needed surgery on my gallbladder but if they injure my liver accidentally I would die. The Transplant doctor visited me privately w/o the team. He was confident he could do it. I said ok let's do it, I only told my family, they prayed and the surgery was successful. I had no idea what was next but things went way down hill. Just like Bishop I asked ppl in church not to lay hands on me, no oil and don't keep telling me God would heal me. I ended up in the hospital again and in the bed next to me was a brother from my church. I tried to hide from the visitors, church folk praying, preaching, laying hands etc. When visiting hours were over I pulled my curtain back, the Spirit said that brother wouldn't leave alive. About 2 days later he transitioned. I had / have no idea what God intends to do with me, God said I would see times when I felt well but it's not unto physical healing. I've seen dark angels on two occasions which represents death but obviously God said not yet. I am having my home renovated for my wife, I feel the urgency to get it done. My body is crumbling and I live in pain and grace. I, like Paul and Bishop, look forward to glory. God knows when it's time and I rest in that. The way God comforts me, directs me is the greatest blessing on this side. He is saying to me and perhaps some of you...I'm fully aware, just be faithful until I take you home. That is so loving ❤ ❤. I understand what Bishop was saying but I'm so glad he was honest in his confusion and years later I'm comforted by his testimony. Pray that I remain faithful even as my body declines and I will do the same for you. I love our Lord so much.
I often visit this video because he helps me be reminded that when you go through.... you don’t stop! Even when you’re stricken with Illness. He moved in a wisdom that was beyond emotions. I’m humbled by a man that even in his dying hours helped give me the life I needed. Forever grateful for the life you led Bishop!

I’ll never forget the day my father came home and told my family and I that Bishop Patterson passed, in 07... I remember being upset, at age 5 back then because I couldn’t believe a man that powerful was gone... I indeed did look up to that man very much (still do). I remember seeing him at AIM and Holy Convocation in 2006 and although he was ill, he always had a smile on his face and everyone was just so happy to see him. I’ll never forget when I would watch him preach on tv before Sunday services. This video brought back a lot of nostalgia 🙏🏽😅

I attended a Holy Convocation of his, and as he and his armour bearers walked into the sanctuary God walked right in with them. I knew it was God because I have felt his presence before. I've enjoyed this servant of GOD, all of us will leave this World, my grandparents used to say , "you leaving here". I'm a white man grew up around the black church, and loved to hear black Preachers proclaim HIS word. Someone on here question if he was in Heaven yet, Paul wrote to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD, we know his body is in the ground, we saw him laying in repose , but whatever he is with the LORD.

Broaden your horizons beyond black preachers and certain denominations. I listen to AW Tozer, Adrian Rogers, J Vernon McGhee, Charles Stanley, Tony Evans, John Macarthur, list goes on of those who are annointed and speak the Word of God. Just heard a black female preacher on social media that was speaking the word. I'm not looking at one man and his "charisma" but listening to what the person is saying..is it from God.
That woman preacher's name is Dr. Iona Locke. I just heard one message so I don't know how she is overall but what I did hear I can say that was from God.

He is one of the humblest preachers I know, I have never heard him criticize others in his sermons. Instead, he speaks about the good news of Christ so that others could be liberated and establish a relationship with Jesus.

I am feeling very heartbroken watching this. I lost my grandmother(who was a Bishop) due to having colon cancer. It is very essential for us especially in the black community to take care of our bodies. Go to the doctor regularly and pay close attention to our bodies.
I met this eloquent Man of God, Bishop G.E. Patterson at International Gospel Center in Ecorse, MI., in Apostle Charles O. Miles office; w h a t - a - t r e a t; for a few minutes I had died and gone to heaven! I'll never forget what a dynamic, powerful, awesome, yet gentle gentleman he was,, Man of God! Probably my finest hour in this life. Think of it, what an honor, Apostle Charles O. Miles, Bishop Richard D. Hinton of Chicago, Ill, and Bishop G.E. Patterson, all in one place together,, it don't get any better than that ya'll, not on this planet! Bishop Patterson preached that Friday night and brought the house down, man he could preach, and paint a picture of Jesus (you knew that Jesus was in the room). After that if you didn't know the Lord you wanted too. I have to say, seems like "they don't make'em like that any more". Rest in his presence O Mand of God, lol.

Bishop Patterson's messages was the only avenue wherein we saw peace strength and comfort. We received victory through his preached word. HALLELUJAH!!! tina outlaw I was wondering what year this was. I never saw or heard this before. I see the end says it's September 2005, the month after Hurrican Katrina hit. I saw him New Year's Eve 2006...and never saw him at church again after that night. I believe he died that following March, 2007.

This is SO powerful, my dad knew he was dying of Cancer and to watch this just made me realize ever the more how strong he was knowing he only had two days to live…God still held my dad in his mercy he was only given 6 mths, but live 3 yrs!!! When my mother died in December 2015, Bishop G.E. Videotapes became a treasure in the family. Another sister took all the videotapes. But eventually didn’t listen to them in her severe state of dementia. Bless be God, I can listen to Bishop G.E. Patterson on RUclips. I am thankful to the persons that collected God’s anointed Shepherd, Bishop G.E. Patterson’s preachment that will out live us all as the word of God movers forward in timeless momentum. I can listen, learn, worship, praise God , pray and even take communion while watching the Bishop.

My daughter died of pancreatic cancer and throughout her journey home to Our Father she confessed her love in worship to Him. Loved Him even though her healimg didn't happen on this side. The PROCESS is completed now! Glory to God! She is healed and whole!

Even though he has left this Earth I still enjoy hearing him preach he reminds me so much of my grandfather my grandfather was a Baptist Minister he start ministering at the age of 19 when he passed away he was ninety-two years old here to different churches that he was the pastor of he was at 1 church for 47 years and another for 52 years never once in my whole life have I heard my grandfather raised his voice unless he was preaching in the holy Spirit had came down upon him this is the same way I feel about Bishop Patterson love sharing him love it
I am a frequent critic of the Pimps in the Pulpit that exploit the Black Community to live lavish lifestyles. I watched this preacher on Sundays and he struck me as genuine and not in it for just money. He is one of the handful of preachers that have my respect and I am sure his church and community misses him.

Yes it was. It's very rare to preview the faces of those saddened, before their funeral. Even though I'm sure Bishop's heart was touched by this, he had more joy on his face than the worshippers. I feel he was letting them know, he knew where he was going, and was happy. He remained that general warrior for God. His voice still had that strength in it. He was a well loved man, by many.

If our love could have saved GE Patterson, he would be here right now. This man was not just loved by his congregation but worldwide too. To me he was almost like a father, as others may have felt that too, just the way he looked at everyone's face with love, and care. He's the beginning of my testimony to when I first began my journey to know God, back in the 80s. As I was going through something bad dealing with work related stress,almost to a breaking point, crying as I drove to work,not wanting to go there. And one morning I heard GE Patterson on my car radio speaking, and I heard. His words were so comforting, giving me faith,hope,belief and trust in God. I believe why I heard him is he spoke every word so clear, taking his time,not running them together. Then he played a Shirley Caesar song, and she was my next inspiration. I just felt their heart, their genuine love to help those hurting. He has helped bring many souls to Christ, and we know God is very pleased with soul saver. It's hard for many to realize our outer body is just a shell that houses our soul. It's the soul that is more precious to God. Our soul is beautiful, and Bishop G.E.Patterson saved a lot of us from hell's fire. "Well done thou good and faithful servant". His spirit lives on. Words cannot express.✌❤

I grew up COGIC, admittedly I struggle with some of the antics. But Bishop Patterson was a real encouragement to me. I never saw this video, it's 4:30am at the time I'm watching this. Almost 4 years ago I went to the E.R / E.D. because I had pain I couldn't get rid of. From the E.R. I was taken to the Liver Transplant Department, I had never smoked, drank alcohol etc like good COGIC ppl do. But I was told that I needed surgery on my gallbladder but if they injure my liver accidentally I would die. The Transplant doctor visited me privately w/o the team. He was confident he could do it. I said ok let's do it, I only told my family, they prayed and the surgery was successful. I had no idea what was next but things went way down hill. Just like Bishop I asked ppl in church not to lay hands on me, no oil and don't keep telling me God would heal me. I ended up in the hospital again and in the bed next to me was a brother from my church. I tried to hide from the visitors, church folk praying, preaching, laying hands etc. When visiting hours were over I pulled my curtain back, the Spirit said that brother wouldn't leave alive. About 2 days later he transitioned. I had / have no idea what God intends to do with me, God said I would see times when I felt well but it's not unto physical healing. I've seen dark angels on two occasions which represents death but obviously God said not yet. I am having my home renovated for my wife, I feel the urgency to get it done. My body is crumbling and I live in pain and grace. I, like Paul and Bishop, look forward to glory. God knows when it's time and I rest in that. The way God comforts me, directs me is the greatest blessing on this side. He is saying to me and perhaps some of you...I'm fully aware, just be faithful until I take you home. That is so loving ❤ ❤. I understand what Bishop was saying but I'm so glad he was honest in his confusion and years later I'm comforted by his testimony. Pray that I remain faithful even as my body declines and I will do the same for you. I love our Lord so much.

I’ll never forget the day my father came home and told my family and I that Bishop Patterson passed, in 07... I remember being upset, at age 5 back then because I couldn’t believe a man that powerful was gone... I indeed did look up to that man very much (still do). I remember seeing him at AIM and Holy Convocation in 2006 and although he was ill, he always had a smile on his face and everyone was just so happy to see him. I listen to AW Tozer, Adrian Rogers, J Vernon McGhee, Charles Stanley, Tony Evans, John Macarthur, list goes on of those who are annointed and speak the Word of God. Just heard a black female preacher on social media that was speaking the word. I'm not looking at one man and his "charisma" but listening to what the person is saying..is it from God.
That woman preacher's name is Dr. Iona Locke. I just heard one message so I don't know how she is overall but what I did hear I can say that was from God.

I am feeling very heartbroken watching this. I lost my grandmother(who was a Bishop) due to having colon cancer. It is very essential for us especially in the black community to take care of our bodies. Go to the doctor regularly and pay close attention to our bodies.

I met this eloquent Man of God, Bishop G.E. Patterson at International Gospel Center in Ecorse, MI., in Apostle Charles O. Miles office; w h a t - a - t r e a t; for a few minutes I had died and gone to heaven! I'll never forget what a dynamic, powerful, awesome, yet gentle gentleman he was,, Man of God! Probably my finest hour in this life. Think of it, what an honor, Apostle Charles O. Miles, Bishop Richard D. Hinton of Chicago, Ill, and Bishop G.E. Patterson, all in one place together,, it don't get any better than that ya'll, not on this planet! Bishop Patterson preached that Friday night and brought the house down, man he could preach, and paint a picture of Jesus (you knew that Jesus was in the room). After that if you didn't know the Lord you wanted too. I have to say, seems like "they don't make'em like that any more". Rest in his presence O Mand of God, lol.

This is my first time seeing this footage. Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson was my Internet Bishop. At that time many years ago my husband Pastored a Baptist Church. Bishop Patterson's messages was the only avenue wherein we saw peace strength and comfort. We received victory through his preached word. HALLELUJAH!!! His messages streamed for years has done even that and much much more. We praise God for the continuous streaming today. Now his beautiful Queen has been called home to Glory, our hearts are once more left heavy but God is able. These two matriarchs will receive high honors in Glory and for this we are Eternally Grateful to have been in their midst just to have heard their voices.

tina outlaw I was wondering what year this was. I never saw or heard this before. I see the end says it's September 2005, the month after Hurrican Katrina hit. I saw him New Year's Eve 2006...and never saw him at church again after that night. I believe he died that following March, 2007.

I have such fond memories of him! When I see this...I think of my Grandmother (R.I.P) getting ready for church every Sunday morning...we watched him prior to going to church...thank you for blessing my grandmother's soul! She thoroughly enjoyed you every Sunday!

This is SO powerful, my dad knew he was dying of Cancer and to watch this just made me realize ever the more how strong he was knowing he only had two days to live…God still held my dad in his mercy he was only given 6 mths, but live 3 yrs!!! Great man of God. While I was in Seminary in the late 1990’s, my mother wanted me to watch the videotapes of Bishop G.E. Patterson. She ordered all his tapes. When my mother died in December 2015, Bishop G.E. Videotapes became a treasure in the family. Another sister took all the videotapes.
But eventually didn’t listen to them in her severe state of dementia. Bless be God, I can listen to Bishop G.E. Patterson on RUclips. I am thankful to the persons that collected God’s anointed Shepherd, Bishop G.E. Patterson’s preachment that will out live us all as the word of God movers forward in timeless momentum. I can listen, learn, worship, praise God , pray and even take communion while watching the Bishop.
Truly missed! I still watch his sermons on Sunday!
