To the people giving the lifeguard hate, I'm an ocean lifeguard for Santa Monica beach. 1) we have to keep our eyes on the lifeguards on both sides of our towers at all times because a large portion of our job is backing each other up, there have been countless times that someone was dressed as a lifeguard and I panicked when I saw them running into the water (we don't run unless it's a major emergency) 2) Distracting a lifeguard while on duty can get you arrested because you're taking them away from actually watching the water. 3) We are employed by the LA County Fire Department, so yes, you are impersonating a fire department employee and you can get in a lot of trouble. 4) If there is a major medical emergency and you're impersonating a lifeguard, you can guess who they're going to run to and you won't know what to do nor have the resources to help. He was only trying to do his job and I would have been blunt as well because I would have had more important things to worry about

A great way to ensure proper form in your pull-ups is to put a business card between your knees and hold it there while you do pull-ups. Proper form is important gentleman.
