Aye guys, I reckon it's a robo, but earlier videos in this channel, 4, 6, 9 months ago have slightly different voices, all quite good...but anyone reckon, any of them are human?! Good videos.
@@russellcrosby8175 But a human said it originally, before any blending with machines. Unlike the dead music scene today, the results are often pleasing.
I had a dinosaur 'encyclopedia' from the late 80s that had the arms and claws of Deinocheirus, classifying it as a 'theropod predator'. You might have guessed if it wasn't a predatory theropod it MIGHT be a Therizinosaur, but a ornithomimid?
Yes and the best (to date) Dinosaur book I ever had was the Encylopedia A-Z of them from David Lambert in 1994, exploring many important points that earlier books never had, i.e. parental care among dinosaurs, herd living and defence against predators, emphasising how, just like in modern times, most hunts would have ended in failure, no matter how dangerous the predator.
Something weird did happen here: today I'm watching this the first time and find my comment regarding the previous video in my playlist, which I watched yesterday, now here. I guess, at the end of that previous video, the playlist switched without me noticing it and then writing the comment during the ad at the start of this (taking it for the ending of the other video). Nevertheless, off course I like your video too, but I had to edit my comment here to make more sense ;-) BTW 5:22 & 11:36 found that CGI footage, showing an already mounted dinosaur skeleton being excavated at a dig site (despite all the eye-catching pithiness), somewhat out of place within such a thoroughly well-made docu video.
If it spent the majority of it's feeding time in the water and lived in a wetland-like habitat I imagine it's colouration would be a base of earthy browns, black, and greys with patches of green algae growing on the feathers.
Love your videos they’re so amazing. I love the fact you cover the whole formation at all levels it adds so much context and helps me visualize the ecosystem better .
I agree with the comment about your voice yes it’s very relaxing to listen too and I too could listen to you talk dinosaurs all day ! very interesting video about dinocheirus
It's strange to me that during your overview of The Nemegt Formation, you didn't bring up Alioramus, another Tyrannosaur that lived in the area, and may have preyed on younger Deinocheirus.
Thanks for teaching me about that strange creature. I always learn watching your videos. And moreover. You have an extremely beautiful voice. Thanks for this excellent video.
The deinocheirus had to be one of my favorite herbivore/omnivores with hige claws other than therizinosaurus. I saw some online artwork that showed it with a mix of water plants and a small fish in it's mouth. I could see deinocheirus with a herbivorous and piscivorus diet.
love your content!! i know these videos are half an hour long but as a non-native speaker with auditory processing disorder i hope one day caption will be added 🥲 youtube's autocaption just doesn't catch a lot of the scientific names accurately which is a shame...
Deinocheirus was indeed a very interesting dinosaur. With its size, it would have been fascinating to see how it fought off large predators. Those predators probably thought twice before attempting to go after Deinocheirus.
Bagaraattan would likely have to avoid Tarbosaurus or be food for him too, or killed to remove him from the area, though Tarbosaurus babies wouldn't be exempt from slaughter by adult or half-grown Bagaraattan, or roving herd of plant eaters.
Thank you for your referencing its ability to defend itself several times over. So stupid of people to think that if an animal doesn't look imposing or threatening, what can it do. Stupid beyond belief, as no matter how comedically cute or cutely comedic Kangaroos, Ostriches and Great Anteaters are, they do lethal damage with their kicking, slashing legs and powerful claws, and all 3 of these could kill a human easily anyway, as could most animals come to that as our natural weapons are for shit. Which is why we cheat, never mind the fact we're not supposed to as we have a bloody easy time with creatures on the modern planet, poor them. Deinocheirus, like the equally huge Therizinosaurus and Gigantoraptor, actually outside the largest predator of the period (Tarbosaurus), a tyrannosaurid that does not seem to quite match his US cousin (Tyrannosaurus's) size, yet the latter is ALSO smaller than the largest duckbills that ever lived (Edmontosaurus, Lambeosaurus) and Shatungosaurus itself, the Edmonotsaurus-like duckbill of Late Cretaceous Asia, towered over a full-grown Trabosaurus, just when it was on all fours! Basically, with dinosaurs this size, they would be big enough to knock down a heavy-headed Tyrannosaurid of any size if events favoured them, and a tail lash could knock it over too. Deinocheirus, like Therizinosaurus had massive claws that could harm the bodies and sensitive faces and eyes of Tarbosaurus, Alioramus, Alectrosaurus, and dromaeosaurids like the REAL Velociraptor too damn minute to be any threat at all.
Yes He was very huge dinosaur. Omnivore. He weighted 16 ton even, have Huge Belly!.. He had bigger head than its shown so it could easily swallow smaller dinosaur that was even 4 tones. It could eat 3 dinosaures like this at once so after meal it weighted 28 tones. Then it lay down to rest and after digestion it weighted 24 tones. And make huge stuff that is maked by animals.

I think it’s a robot voice lmao not his real voice
It’s a fucking robo voice, and it’s annoying as shit
@Peter Simons lmao he didn’t say anything rude? What’s wrong with his manners?

Great episode - thanks a lot for sharing this very informative video!

I look forward to new videos from you, thank you.
This Dino is amazing!
Head like a Haderasaur, hump like a camel, basically a vegetarian and it's a Therapod!
What a wonderful weirdo!
The term 'weird and wonderful' just perfect for him.

Best tital lol "The dinosaur with hands" that got an loud exhale of breath out of me.
THis is an outstanding production! Well Done.
I was born with a birth defect that left me with messed up hands. So when I heard about this Dino and its names meaning in Latin it became my favorite
Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed it!

i can see it acting and having the colors of a goose or Mandarin duck but way more chill then a goose only attacks if a dino is too close
Deino cool. Great reconstruction! 🙂. Thanks for video
Great documentary! Like John Wayne's Impossible Groove Machine 😅🤣😂😆😅
"He managed to obtain the fossils for himself," sure sounds like "purchased on the black market". 😂
A strange animal indeed! :)

no, only you

The damn thing was 7 tons I don't think camouflage is going to hide it

Deinochiros means the reptile with hands.
This was a little to drawn out. /gen
Path of titans brought me here.😂
I don't like the soft whispered voice.
If ya ask nicely, he might shout for ya instead!
😮😂
troodon is not a valid genus. its misunderstood
I remember in my childcraft book saying it was a big meat eater, cuz of the claws.

I will never not find any of this interesting
The computer read is way too distracting, a shame.
We could be evolutionary descendants of this thing if so "hey Uncle"
No, that would be birds, the direct living descendants of therapods; modern-day avian dinosaurs.
@@ominous-omnipresent-they Technically, this isn't correct either. Deinocheirus has no living descendants period.
