Sweet Joe Peach Variety

Dr. Joe McClure has a lot of accomplishments to be proud of. He spent his entire career as a medical doctor. He practiced some privately and served as the company doctor for DuPont. For many years he and his wife Annetta made maple syrup on their family farm in Humphreys County, and he even wrote a song that his friend Loretta Lynn & Conway Twitty recorded. McClure can now add selecting a new peach variety to his list of accomplishments. After 20 years of cross pollinating peach trees, McClure came up with the new peach he calls Sweet Joe.
