Thank you for the tutorial! It is one of the best tutorials I have watched and I have wanted hundreds of them. I also did my telephoto lens too.
Thank you for showing how to clean the camera lens. A lot easier than I thought. Great video.
Worked like a charm! Great vid!
Thank you so much for this video, I forgot lens in the rain and it was very dirty when it dried out. other site say you can't do it but it was very simple with your instructions. Thank you again.
Great tutorial I try to find something like this!!
I need to clean my lens. thank you very much
thank you for the simple tutorial
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. :)
A truly amazing guide! You should also mention what tools you use and where to buy them because there are just too many tools out there that are crap and it would be nice to know what tools a real professional uses.
thank you, it helped me
Tqvm for this tutorial ❤️👍
i fixed my lumix 45-200mm with this video..thx
Genial einfach! Hab's gerade ausprobiert - Linse ist wieder sauber und komplett einsatzfähig!
+Wackelpudding3000 excellent
nice video, plain and simple and precise
Thank you
Thank you Steven
you make that seem so simple
thank you so much sir
Excellent..
good job..
Awesome !
thanxxx man
This is Brill top marks sir.
Hola. Sabés si es posible despegar uno de los dos cristales de la parte de adelante? Porque tengo hongos pero en el interior de la parte de adelante.
Muchas gracias
Kit lens is easy to clean!
Thanks a lot. This is the second time i am using this vid to clean the fungus.
What solution did you use to clean the fungus, Would vinegar do the job
@@hardrod6989 wire brush
Sooo. I had a drop(mirror survived thankfully) , everything seems to still work, minimal visible damage anywhere. BUT the very front lens no longer is sitting straight. Think i could fix it? Dont feel like i have anything to loose.
thank you! i smoked mine in the river takin pictures of trout
Great video but don´t use retaining compound - it's designed to hold bearings etc in place and will make it very difficult to undo the screws if you need to take them out again. Use a thread locking compound. That holds the screws but let's you take them out later.
can you send me a link to some?
Can someone say to me screwdriver i need to remove and reset the len in a canon 18 55 one ? thank you.
This part that came off has two glasses. I got fungus in the middle of them. How can I dissasembly?
Hi , I have a canon lens 18-55mm. Manual focus working, no issue for motor.
Problem is it can focus on 18mm and 55mm or 48mm. between 18 mm to 48mm can auto focus only one time then not working. to focus again need to adjust manually for full blur and again it can focus only only one time. Do you know how to fix this issue?
Thanks :).
Thanks...But still I don't trust myself lol
Is it the music?
easy way ruclips.net/video/d5wvTmVIK-E/видео.html
Same here........🤣😂
Anybody knows how that lens can be opened? I have fungus inside that part he takes out. Thanks
same here, unluckily for us this is the only group in this lens with 2 elements, so it probably can't be opened without force-ungluing it somehow. how did you go about that problem?
@@fddon4166 Any luck? I have a tendril of fungus on the back of the frontmost element I want to wipe off before it becomes a full-on attack.
my screws are so tight and I'm so scared of stripping them but I have GLITTER OF ALL THINGS in my inner lense
I know your comment was FOREVER AGO, but did you ever find a good way to get them out?
@@evancoulstring I have the same problem
Not worth it. I just stripped mine trying.
Whatever rochelle lee ... you are soo beautiful
i want to know where did you get that cleaning kit ?
+Jnel Tv hama lens pen and giottos rocket blower from Amazon
They have full lens cleaning kits or just pieces that you might need like brush blower etc on Amazon . Even places like Walmart for example sell them
Interesting. But this only gets dust out between the front 2 elements. But it's dust in the camera body end (not front) of the lens that is most likely to affect images - I'm guessing that is a trickier cleaning project. This lens probably has 11 or 12 elements. Unless there's an awful lot of dust in the lens, it's unlikely to affect images. I recommend not doing what's shown in this video unless the lens' condition is extreme.
Thank you
There a small particles inside that lens and i afraid to do this
I'm too scared to try this
can you make tutorial for canon 17-40 L ?
sir,im having issues with focus ring in my canon 18-135mm nano usm lens.sometimes its difficult to manually turn the ring. sir can you a video for that issue.
Make sure it is set to manual .
please please share what screwdriver exactly you used to remove the retaining screws at 1.20... I have been failing miserably with the smallest tools I have and I feel like I will destroy the screws before I manage to unscrew them
Look up Precision Screwdriver Set
can you link me where to find those stickers. I cant for the life of me find them.
good video, helped me alot.. which text to speech converter you used? it has the best result i've ever heard.. thank you for the video..
+Kamran Khattak sorry I cant remember
How to clean dust from the inside of your Canon APS-C kit lens
I want to replace the sticky ring on my Canon EFS 55-250mm st II. Is it hard to remove it? You make it look easy. How do I get the new one to stick? Where can I purchase a new one?
Try double sided sticky tape but I dont think you can buy new ones
where does the fungus always spread...on the lens that you pull out..or inside the the body lens
I dont know I have never had fungus, I just get dust
BRUTAL.. and its called a make-up ring not sticky ring
I’m guessing this won’t work on L series lenses?
is the retaining fluid absolutely necessary? I have the same issue with dust on the front element
i have same issue, did you fix it ? even though you had no retaining fluid?
i can not find that in local shops.
Search thread lock online you should be able to find it.
@@Nicamist what does the retaining fluid does
@@hardrod6989 it stops the thread becoming loose from vibration.
XD vary helpful but I don’t recommend doing it myself
Give it a blow
*ngh*
Give it another blow
*NGHHHhhh*
This 100% would give me anxiety to do lmao
Hahahaha same. Iam afraid if i cant assamble it
I gave up before starting after watching this video lool
Don't ever use metal tools near glass surfaces and neither on plastic rings. And all this blowing inside the tube is not recommended. And don't get obsessed with small particles inside. They may be annoying but they are not likely to influence the image forming.
Grear vid, but nix the musak. I could barely her you.
Remove the 3 retaining screws..... yeah, um... mine doesn't have any screws
where did you get those stickers from?
you can also you masking tape
''little push to free it''
Sadly, my canon 18-55 doesnt have those screws...Maybe because it is has image stabilization?
It should have the screws under the sticky ring
@@projectmayhemUK My 18--55 is the newest version, the 4-5.6. Under the sticky ring there is really no screw. It seens that the only way to clean the lens is to open using the screws in the back. But that looks more complicated than your way.
is it the same with the one wihtout IS?
+coziseesparksfly it can be as long as you have that sticky ring to peel off they
are more or less similar
thanks chief
Which screwdriver did you use?
Looks like just tiny head screwdriver set... easy to find on Amazon Precision Screwdriver Set
What is the retaining compound???
Loctite retaining compound
why i can't remove the screw?? help it's too hard
they are glued in
@@projectmayhemUK Ouhok thanks
can't unscrew!
They are tough to get out as they are bonded in, but with enough effort they do come loose, just be careful not to slip with the screwdriver as that could destroy your lens
The video is really good but not the music. It would be so much better without the music.
I've got lenses decades old thats never got dust in them...
My god don't use red loctite it will never be able to be taken apart again with out a torch use the Blue stuff
i cant even unscrew the screwss they are so tight
+Saleha Jamil i have the same problem
+Saleha Jamil I think the screws were held in with thread lock originally
+projectmayhemUK how can I get the screws out if they're glued.
Lol that voice
dont try this it is not as easy as it looks.
Adan Martinez have you had a bad experience?
It doesn’t look easy!!
I left after hearing him say......"give it a blow" too many times.
brightledge creeped me out too LOL.
probably because he used a reading AI like Siri haha
yep i did this to but on my powershot then i broke it😂 lesson learn never ever trust yourself on cleaning inside your lens...😂 seek for professionals..
I never do that to my DSLR. .sorry.
Painful to watch!
WHY CAN'T I UNSCREW THESE STUPID SCREWS ON MY REBEL EOS
they are glued in and hard to move but not impossible
what set of screw drivers should i use? have you found any to work the best?
Hello Rochelle, have same problem here with my EFS 18-55 mm,
i have almost wasted the heads of screws, did you find any tip to open them?
basically all I can do at this point is send it back in
