It has the makings of a great fight but the reason why there is no big promotional push is because of Smith's poor performance against Canelo. They think Callum Smith is meek, timid and has no heart and is easy work for Beterbiev. I disagree. I think Callum is very motivated and his power is for real too. It would be disrespectful to write him off as some journeyman or low contender. I think Beterbiev will have trouble in the early rounds finding that range. Smith is very good.

Maybe Smith was exhausted making weight at 168, but I was amazed at how easy it was for Alvarez to take the center ring and then close the distance. And remember Canelo's reach is much smaller than Beterbiev's reach. Callum definitely did not like the pressure from Alvarez who broke his nose. Beterbiev will put a lot more pressure on Smith. And where was Callum's much-touted left hook in the Canelo fight? I did not see it at all. Even if he landed a couple, Alvarez did not even notice them. Beterbiev has tons of experience, he knocked down Usyk in Cruiserweight back in amateurs, he has seen all styles and he has a very smart trainer in Ramsey. Not that Smith had no chances at all, but his only chance is a lucky punch if Beterbiev suddenly loses focus or concentration. Otherwise I tend to agree with the bookies: 80% vs 20% for Beterbiev, the home fighter. My prediction is Beterbiev by stoppage in the seventh round.
