    I'm not an American but one of the things that I like about American people is that they like to pass the baton to the next generation . Americans are generous people not like other nationalities who wants to hide the knowledge from others. Thank you for posting these videos from a great teacher.

    Many different designs for each type of project are also included. For example, there are hundreds of designs ruclips.net/user/postUgkxb2mhCug-GkCWrq69Ce2I0nM0D4QpxAqu for outdoor buildings, from small sheds all the way up to a complete stable. Choose whatever type of shed or storage house is right for you. Pick from fancy ones or more utilitarian designs.

      +dave underwood Stretching in my opinion and staying fit is a big part of being able to maintain this kind of work. The heavier you get, and the less flexible you become the more difficult this work is on your body.

    • @REVerbtalk
      @REVerbtalk 5 лет назад +3

      I have to disagree with Metus. You don't have to be "fit" for this, you just need to have a good head, basic math and some sort of skill level. Not every person is a size 10 waist and I've seen some pretty hefty guys lay some wood on a property no different than the skinnies. I'm seen skinnies who can do what the big guys do. It's only as difficult as your mind allows it. Hey I'm 38, chubby and smoke, when on-site, there's no signs of me being a smoker so I don't burn out, wind out and wind out. It's all in your head buddy. Now get your 40 year old ass out there and lay some wood, need some help? Shoot me a message, lets team up ;-)

    • @jenaejuarez5845

      I agree with this comment. This guy is amazing but I don't want to see his face I need to see exactly what he is doing with his hands. I think both close ups and seeing the bigger picture would be helpful.
      Maybe I need to find the framing 099 video because he goes very quickly in his explanations and uses framing vocabulary words that I am not familiar with. I need more broken down step by step and teach me what all these new words are.
      I think it's awesome how he doesn't use a nail gun and can get a nail in with one whack of the old fashioned hammer.

    Once the plates are down the lay out guy gets a 5 minute head start. Then the other two following start scattering studs and nailing them.

    Great instructive video. A master carpenter. I wish the cameraman had focused more on what Larry Haun was actually doing as he explained framing basics instead of aiming the camera at his talking head. I missed being able to see what he was doing rather than mostly listening to him.

    So where can we get the corner marker that Larry is demonstrating at 1:18, or is that another custom-made layout tool?

      Strictly framing Larry Haun has no equal. He started framing in 1923. Things that Larry did and taught paved the way for Essential Craftsman and every other carpenter. They Both are amazing! Essential craftsman offers a broader range of advice and videos but with framing Larry Haun is the greatest.

    Your right about the "Too" many marks on a Jobsite. I went to a jobsite in Chicago, and on the area needed for framing, there was too many marks and you couldn't tell if it was a jobsite or the discovery of ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics.
