- The car is 2017 GLE350d. Please check your own spec to make sure use the correct fluid and correct torque spec. FYI only. You take your own risk by performing DIY. Good luck.
Thanks for your review, i changed my gle transmission oil by myself.
Interesting! It's quite different from 7G-Tronic
Does 2018 GLE350 4matic has the same type of transmission and the same way to change the fluid? Thank you.
is your engine w166?
Great video mate
Thanks 👍
Where did you get the service manual?
You can google it or buy it in eBay.
Hi bro, Thanks for your sharing, and where you got the parts please?
You can check your local Mercedes dealer.
@@mkwan1 just got the quote from the local dealer, $900+for the transmission filter kit without the labour, too much
@@hanlei8760if the quote includes parts number and spec, you can search aftermarket parts. Good luck
@@hanlei8760 you can try fcpeuro.com
@@mkwan1 Cheers
There is almost half of old fluid in the torque converter, should be drained.
thanks for sharing. I just followed the steps in the service manual and I don’t know this step of drain the fluid in the converter, I will do another research to see how to do that next time.
It isn't the rigth procedure to do, the Engine has to run, gerbox in P position , when the gerabox's oil is around 40 degrees you have to use the tool in 3rd position to let the exced of oil come out of the gerbox.
Thanks for your comments. Yes, what you are saying is the right procedure but I have put notes in my video saying that I don’t have the tools to check fluid temperature, so I just filled the same amount of fluid back to the transmission.
@@mkwan1 yeah car is new and no leaking spot. Same amount out => same amount in. You do a right job.
