Great video. Yeah, these high end companies have mastered what I equivalent to, “in app purchase”. Selling a great basic product then having to buy all the add ons becomes super expensive. We all fall for the “customizable” features yet we end up setting them up the same ol way as our old non customizable bags. So do we really need all those “customizable” options? Probably not. Just sell me a complete product!
Yeah, it is definitely a money grab to a point. I will say though that I enjoy the customizable functions simply because med shortages and other supply ordering issues means ever changing packaging and it’s really nice to be able to change up the pack to fit them. They should absolutely sell it with med trays though.
Your videos are extremely helpful. I made a simple first aid kit catered to my diabetes/medication and minor small injuries cause I'm not trained in any life saving/trauma first aid. it's no longer over stuffed and more streamlined for my needs.
The thing I dont really like about minimalist packs is I KNOW if I need (whatever equipment) its in my large bag, and typically, it wont fit in the minimalist bag. Also SWAT medic here, and they don't like bringing patients to me. The flip side is humping that 70# bag around all while kitted out with plate carrier, helmet, nods, rifle, etc. It looks good, and I also love that ranger green, but, eh...I will probably stick to care under fire items on my person for now. They can continue to complain about bringing me patients, and I'll continue to buy them doughnuts later.
@prepmedic great video. I love the looks of this bag, but I definitely see some of the drawbacks you mentioned. By the way what’s the name of “med bag” you had in the back compartment? Or the name of the company that sells ? I’m assuming it’s the zippered semi Hard case for injectables.
@ thank you for the quick reply. Ok the price did catch me off guard lol. Perhaps I can find a comparable case with the same style of construction. Keep up the really great work man and as a RUclipsr myself, I really appreciate the time and the effort that you put into your videos.
I love 90% of whats going on with that bag. Literally the remaining 10% is the price considering it is not very functional without the purchase of a bunch of accessories.
With the outer spine area where you shock corded the tourniquets, I put a kydex holster there and it works. I have the CAT holster facing down, because its in there tighter, and the SOF-T the right way up, its the newer gen and doesn't fit well in the holster.
Great review Sam. In my opinion this bag is far too small for most medics in most situations. Really it's designed for a SOF medic to do a direct action raid and be done. The assaulter type medic as you said. This bag is certainly not well suited to working with light infantry or other conventional combat arms units. I'd recommend adding an i-gel size 5 to your kit if you can make space or use a different bag. There's a couple studies out there showing using a sex based sizing for i-gel i.e. size 5 for men and size 4 for women is more accurate than weight based. Side note: if you're a combat medic and you're not carrying a BP cuff and a stethoscope, you're wrong.
I have a Tasmanian Tiger Assault Pack. What’s your job or intended purpose for it? For a truck bag for everyday use it can hold a lot of basic interventions. For mil if you plan on using it, it has to be supplemented with something (Fanny pack/body armor pouches/ larger med bag close by). I love it, durability is great, organization is nice. Plenty of spots to add more pouches etc. Cost not even close, it’s about 150+ dollars cheaper. It works for what I use it for and would recommend!
Loved the delta bag, but didnt hold exactly what i wanted so i eventually just made my own bag to fit exactly how i wanted my gear and be modular as well. Great video i just wish the main compartment on the delta bag had slightly more depth.
Seems cool. For now my kit will be usgi inserts and aloksaks filled with gear organized by module in a Jansport cause med gear is expensive and the bag is creature comfort rather than the main tool
Brother what shirt are you wearing that thing is sharp! Great video, I picked up a delta bag and am not super happy with it so far. It’s stuffed and everything is tight even after dropping several things I carry. I want to look at the classic M9 bag or the Tasmanian tiger L I think.
Amazing video as always!!! Where did you get that manual suction bag? I’m a volunteer EMT and I’ve been looking for something like that for my aid bag.
Nice concelp though looking at th compact nature of the bag i woul think prudent as a strap-on utilility bag with larger bag servicing bulky items in a pack roll or somr type of widow or pocket system coming from a wound care scenario yoiu be service 2 people
To play devils advocate: The thing about Spiritus and other companies selling everything separately - they’re selling modularity, and the research behind it. The price isn’t because of just the product, but their products capabilities. Not just the inserts you need for your specific task, but also orientation of those things, and then the RE-insertion & reorganization of those inserts for another task. This product is just designed for certain people, not the masses.
That is true. There is something to be said about modularity and I do enjoy being able to customize kit. It’s actually a must. It’s not so much the customization that bothers me, it’s more the limited run stock and not at least giving you what you need for a basic setup.
Advanced care paramedic from Ontario here I’m part of the special operations group for the service I work for does that particular bag do you think it would fit Contera inserts?
Do you think this is potentially attachable to a larger pack (Eberlestock ruck for example) to have your medical supplies totally separated from the 72 hour survival gear?
@@PrepMedic you could also twist the wire around the cord or tie a knot to it if that would still fit through the holes. The wire is vastly easier to thread through the holes in any case.
Configuration flexibility is always good however; cost ‘creep’ through nickel-&-diming the customer through ordering every single organization panel is a turn-off.
Eh, kind of. It’s not the cheapest option but it’s far from the most expensive. Even when you factor in the price of 4 med trays the Delta is less than other popular options.

I was just looking up reviews for this bag and then your Video pops up haha perfect timing
for spiritus stuff, i would highly recommend looking on the secondary market. usually 20-40% markdowns for used stuff.
Forgive my ignorance but what secondary sights are you referring to?
@@Briathos1Reddit GAFS (guns accessories for sale) and Tac swap , eBay there’s more just research

It’s Cro Medical. It is an awesome case but probably one of the most overpriced prices of kit I own.

Another great video and content Prep Medic...G'Day from Downunder in Australia, Cheers, Nic

Never cut weight from your vitals and monitoring equipment. Get stronger!
Great review as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!
How does this bag compare to the Tasmanian Tiger small pack (in terms of cost, durability, and modularity)

Great video! Not super impressed with this bag though. I think I’ll be sticking to the Tasmanian tiger L

That looks like a good bag for an EMT to keep in their POV? Just the right size for the stuff that would be appropriate for an EMT to carry?
Amazing video as always!!! Where did you get that manual suction bag? I’m a volunteer EMT and I’ve been looking for something like that for my aid bag.
North American rescue sells them

You need a knitting needle to get into those holes easily. My wife helped me and it was so much easier.
Do you think this is potentially attachable to a larger pack (Eberlestock ruck for example) to have your medical supplies totally separated from the 72 hour survival gear?
Finally a video we have been waiting for!!!!!! 😊
Use a set of forceps to pull from the inside of the laser cut stuff.
You end up reaching so far that it’s hard to grab the cord. I started with that strategy and quickly ditched it.
@ Fair, I’ve had it work with other similar patterned stuff.
Oh well, at least once it’s set up it should be ‘permanent’.
Have you tried using a piece of metal wire with a hook on the end to pull the shock cord through the holes?
It’s not looped cord so it doesn’t get hooked.
@@PrepMedic you could also twist the wire around the cord or tie a knot to it if that would still fit through the holes. The wire is vastly easier to thread through the holes in any case.
I'm surprised I'm this early
I have no socisl nedia for follow up.
what suction device is that?
Configuration flexibility is always good however; cost ‘creep’ through nickel-&-diming the customer through ordering every single organization panel is a turn-off.
Get some.
Tried it, bad form factor, not efficient use of such small space. Back to traditional bag for me.
Bag looks good, but it you have to purchase more items not worth it.
I’m going to Love this channel…. Refund Law Enforcement. Ems. Firemen never ever do that again. You don’t ever deserved that dis respect.
I run this as our team med bag. It's the epitome of 10lbs of shit in a 5lb bag. Would be a great BLS bag. Just too small for ALS
It's absurdly undersized for the price.
Beautiful collection likes your channel kislux
So overpriced
Eh, kind of. It’s not the cheapest option but it’s far from the most expensive. Even when you factor in the price of 4 med trays the Delta is less than other popular options.
