‘The Dark’ has been in the making for quite some time and according to SYML himself, it might not even be the final version just yet, but he felt it was the right time to release it. Sometimes quiet and slowly, sometimes massive and overwhelming, ‘The Dark’ represents our fears, doubts and hopes.
‘I don’t believe we are meant to be alone, but that doesn’t change the fact that we often are’
A statement that probably never felt so relatable than right now, in the midst of a global pandemic.
But even though we often are alone, we have to keep believing in ourselves and in our path, especially when the darkness, our fears and doubts, begins to creep in. And sometimes we are so caught up in our own mind that it needs another person to remind us of what truly matters.

I think it means that everyone has his/her own story of their lives and you shouldn't judge people too soon because you don't always know their story and because they probably feel similar pain too

Underrated song
A song with lyrics that one can listen to - and allow it to move you on a very deep and passionate level. I agree with SYML that it needs more work and analysis of what he intends to say with the lyrics. I know where he is going to with his musical thought processes but some of the phrases needs to be looked at for purposes of clarity and to reinforce the impact. But this Is a minor quibble with a song that really strikes the right neuronal and emotional note. 💘👍👏
