Here's my FULL Ahsoka Episode 5 video and Star Wars Easter Eggs with a ton of Anakin Skywalker. Let me know how many you spotted! Here's my Ahsoka World Between Worlds Anakin Skywalker video too! ruclips.net/video/-V5mNDhYCqk/видео.html
Ariana Greenblatt played young Ashoka, and young Gamora in the MCU.
Also playing Tina Tina in the Borderlands movie.
Everything thing about this episode was truly amazing can't wait for the next ones great video as always Charlie👍🏽.
I want a clone war live action show I want to see more of hayden as anakin ,and Ewan as obi wan.
The Actress who played Young Ahsoka is the same actress who played Young Gamora in Infinity War flashbacks.
@Emergency Awesome - where do you find the next episode preview?!?
The scene where they go back to the clone wars and to Anakin turning dark and fighting Ashoka was the best thing I seen in Star Wars recently just WOW!! Legendary episode
Nice!
I got a bit weepy at that.
Hayden really nailed the mannerisms and gate of Clone Wars Anakin ❤it was perfection.
@@Clairejartsame I'm like why's he gotta turn let's go back 😭
Yup. Agreed
Memba Berries
I loved how the war scene force visions really hammered home just how horrific it would have been for Ahsoka to grow up and learn in the middle of the Clone Wars as she did. When it's all a cartoon, it's easy to forget she's literally a child and is constantly surrounded by death and destruction. Seeing it in live action really made it stick.
Nah even the cartoons were kind of gritty. It just hits different when you see a live action body of a trooper getting blow tf up 😬
@@Lurkaiyeah I remember the episode Landing at Point Rain was particularly gruesome in its depiction of the war.
I agree I was sat their thinking imagine being a fucking child and they put you into a war and command clones in war, crazy.
Yep and Anakin would have been 19, also a child.
I think the impacts the Clone Wars had on the entire galaxy is one of the things least explored in the new content. The tragedy of the fall of the republic typically centers around the drama of order 66 and the jedi massacre, but not on the wraith the republic brought with them throughout the galaxy not to save worlds, but to actually hand them over to a dictator instead. Obi Wan's series should have focused more on the trauma of that alone and it would have been better. I was happy to see that scene for the same reasons you were!
I wont lie. THIS is what i want from Anakin returning. It moves the story forward while also allowing Hayden his time back in the spotlight. His appreciation is long overdue, and im all for it. Great episode so far. Im only disappointed this series isn't longer.
Maybe we'll get a second Season! or the actual Movie that the Feloniverse is leading to.
You can tell he is a bad father 😅
@@losingit2koh we're getting season 2 for sure. If we're lucky maybe 3 with an older Jason becoming a Jedi or something.
(Kylie Ren) More!!! MORE! MOOOOORE!!!
This episode had Lucas and feloni all over it you could tell Lucas was telling ahsoka how to act and adding some personal touches this episode stood out from the rest there was literally 0 Disney nonsense
Hayden killed it but young ahsoka was amazing. Her delivery on “more powerful, and dangerous than anyone realized” sent chills down my spine. Loved seeing this
And than Anakin goes in frustration and ignites his red lightsaber, wow! That was unexpected
The way he said, "Is that what this is about?"
I definitely love the transition between Anakin and Darth Vader. Absolutely gorgeous.
Yeah that was AWESOME!
I think that (the vader/dark anakin flashes) was a tiny bit over the top, but nonetheless an awesome scene!
@@reiga6062really? I think it works really well, see to me it seems like Anakin has taken on the roles of all 3 of the ones from Mortis, we see him represent light, dark and balance in the episode and his flashing between himself and Vader worked (for me at least) to demonstrate him as the embodiment of the dark side, his Clone Wars self works to show him as the embodiment of the light side and in the World Between Worlds he embodies the balance between the 2 it almost suggests that in a way Anakin has kind of ascended and become something else, the chosen one at full potential if you will
@@reiga6062literally nothing has been close to being over the top in the episodes leading up to ep 5 so I respectfully disagree but we can agree that the episode was really good.
Dude! It was SOOOOO epic
I’m so glad Hayden Christensen is getting the recognition he’s always deserved. I’ve always thought he was the perfect choice for Anakin and he continues to prove it till this day. So glad he’s been brought back and I hope they continue to do more with him, it wouldn’t make sense not to.
Same girl who played young Gamora
Would be cool to have a Darth Vader series, the comics are pretty good
@@davidliskey3553I'm hoping the do a Darth Vader series, and show Vader trying to resurrect Padme. I'm fairly positive he tried to do that
@@chadmedical4823& she was the kid in the Barbie movie.
The flashes of Anakin turning to Vader were awesome. They also nailed the casting for young Ahsoka. The fight scenes between them were amazing. This episode was the best Disney Star Wars content we've gotten
The actress for young Ahsoka reminded me of the kid who played a young Gamora
Agreed
@@invalidusername883because that's her
I like that young actress I member when she played Gomorrah in infinity war and she's actually in the new Barbie movie too
I think that siege of mandalor Ashoka was too young. Ashoka was like 18-19 then.
Young Ahsoka was played by Ariana Greenblatt, the actress that played young Gamora. She keeps it up she's going to get a reputation for playing younger versions of established heroes for Disney. She did a fantastic job both roles and I would love to see her back in the future as young Ahsoka.
She also recently slayed it in Barbie.
@@therogalafamily8958 Right. She's definitely up and coming. She keeps it up she's going to have a great career.
Also with Kylo in "65" 😅 and the upcoming "Borderlands" movie next year. Big career ahead, I think.
I'm sorry but you are wrong it's not the same actress the girl in Avengers is Reagan LeMaire. I don't think you know enough about Star Wars to comment on this. No offense.
@@john-charlesguseman5999 Joking? Coz it was 100% Ariana Greenblatt as young Gamora...
My favorite part of thie episode is seeing Ashoka happy! The last 5- 10 minutes she smiling, and acting like her true self!.
yep, finally she showed some emotions
Because her burden has been lifted. Her baggage has been laid.
by "true self" do you mean the way she was before she left the order in season 5 of TCW?
YEEES!
Props to Hayden Christensen who truly bridged his earlier live action with Clone Wars Anakin beautifully. Well done! Ariana Greenblatt alongside him was perfect and really brought the Clone Wars to life which made me so happy! The saber battles... amazing. Favorite line: "You lack conviction!" The Purgils were utterly gorgeous. Loved this episode. Great breakdown as always Charlie 💗
Anakin has fulfilled his destiny. He is the balance. The light AND the dark. Thus overseeing the world between worlds.
Well said 👏
what did he do to fulfill his destiny? cause he didnt bring balance to the force or stop the sith
That isn't how the force works, according to George. The balance is the light. The darkside is perversion of that balance.
In short, the dark side and balance are mutually exclusive, the way George set up the lore.
@arobin6695 his destiny was to replace the father and control the son and daughter.. but he refused, so when he left mortis, his turn to the darkside was set in stone.. now that he died he has gone to the world between workds and oversees the entirety of the force which is the role of the chosen one
No you don’t understand what balance is. It’s not light and dark; it’s the absence of both since both the old Jedi and Sith bent the force to their will and exerted their power on events
*LET FILONI COOK!!!!!*
That was honestly the best live action episode Disney had made for Star Wars shows. I truly hope Filoni gets a raise and promotion. Hayden absolutely killed it with the flashbacks to what looked like Teth maybe and the siege of Mandalore. Absolutely magnificent! The clones running, the attes walking, CAPTAIN REX LIVE!!! They even got Temuera to say literally 4 or 5 words, even that is amazing. I can not say it enough how beautiful and amazing this episode is. I honestly cried.
Also, Leia behind the scenes that's very cool. Hera and Mon having politics which I love. Always loved the politic scenes in Star Wars so their is more conflict within the show. Wow this really is amazing.
Right? My girlfriend was like.. “wait Senator? ..Leia!?!” Lol this episode was wonderful.
Hayden crushed those scenes. I loved every second of his screen time. The final anakin scene where he goes from vader back to ani and you see his smile come back was epic, great to see hayden nail it. What a legend.
Darth Vader was just the Sith name that Palpatine, through the Will of the Force, christened Anakin with during his imprisonment by the Dark Side. He’s always been Anakin Skywalker, and the transitioning between Light and Dark shows that, albeit from one point of view.
@@hotredtiger316 im going to send in a request that you receive a little gold star on your nerd card
@@kennybobby201, that’s mighty chickenshit of you. Do better.
Remember Anakins downfall was the fear of death and in Ashoka he is teaching her that you can not fear death to live because she feared putting her friends in harms way but it's war and it's living. Beautiful lesson taught by Anakin.
This. This right here! "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."
Dang I didn’t think about that
"Nice work, Commander. We'll secure the perimeter."
This episode just proves my point that we need a live-action Clone War show, following new characters. New Jedi and a new clone trooper unit.
Was great having the Rex cameo
Yeah I have said this for a long time now. The Prequels was missing the actual Clone Wars!
Temuera Morrison would be getting a fat check for that show
@ColonelStanhis gear doesn't look animated, he's different because, according to canon, he made his helmet using parts of his phase 1 and 2 gears
My favorite part
Loved Hayden as Anakin and his Vader side. Awesome chemistry between Anakin and Ahsoka past and present. Anakin showing Ahsoka everything she needs to learn good and bad. Anakin doesn't want Ahsoka to fail like he did. The light saber fighting was totally amazing. I hope to see more Anakin. Thanks, Dave, for an awesome episode. 10/10. Can't wait to see what's next.
I would say Hayden’s light saber was what made it. His fluid strikes were the highlight.
@@saturncrush I've been rather unimpressed by the lightsaber fights in star wars lately.... until this one.
Yes!! Was waiting for this breakdown. I’m of the belief that he is a Mortis god that is keeping the balance on his own. While Ahsoka is represented as the Daughter, I think both Light and Dark are embodied in Anakin’s life. Either way Filoni has made Star Wars fresh and exciting. Don’t know where they are going but it’s going to be great
Nice theory!
That's better than going nowhere.
@@emergencyawesome Where is Thrawn? There are only 5 episodes , in this show, and he has not been seen
@@michaelhawkins7389 he"ll most likely appear in the final two episodes, along with Ezra. There will be 8 episodes in total.
@@heywolfeyy Just googled the show apparently it is 8 episodes , despite the wiki saying only 5 episodes so my mistake lol .
I laughed out loud when Anakin said “This IS your training”. Felt so true to his Clone Wars era character and Hayden delivered it perfectly. So good.
Clone wars Anakin is the same as Hayden
Seeing her as her younger self was so eye opening. To actually see how young she was when she was going through the Clone Wars was heart breaking
yup she was a straight up child soldier... I remember the episode when she killed a few death watch mandalorians after they were massacring a village....one of the clone wars episodes.....even animated watching her decapitate four death watch at once and not blink was pretty hard core....
📌Hayden did a really good acting job in this episode. During the Clone Wars scenes, you can tell he was really trying to emulate Clone Wars Anakin's speech pattern and youthful mannerisms. During the Revenge of the Sith Anakin scenes, you can tell he was more stern, mature, and his movement was more aggressive. He really nailed the portrayal of both versions. It was like straight out of the shows and movies.
This was the best episode yet. Now everything from the Clone Wars, Return of the Jedi has all been harmonized and tied in together. No more inconsistencies.
It was awesome!
I agree. I loved this episode.
U guys don't know wtf ur talking about. I bet u enjoyed the last Jedi too huh? 🙄
Agreed. Many people liked episode 4, I was a bit meh on it. This episode, though, was just what this series needed for the series' second half push.
@@Mitsoxfan ha, I know that feeling too well. It actually seemed like I keep watching the show for a good episode. Then when I get to a good episode like episode 4, I am still a bit meh, but then I get to a great episode like episode 5 and I exclaim, "FINALLY!"
Young Ashoka was played by Arianna Greenblatt. Yes indeed, you have seen her before - she played Young Gamora for Infinity War, and she is also Sasha, the teenage daughter who had been playing with Barbie in the Barbie movie! My only (minor) concern is she wasn’t using the reversed grip on her light sabers during the Siege of Mandalore.
She wasn't? I was watching for that specifically and didn't notice. I'll have to look for that on my 3rd watch
I've been looking at things like fighting styles lol...I love Rosario Dawson and think she is doing great and obviously Ahsoka has aged but there is a lot of athleticism and 30m jumps and stuff missing from the prequel/clone wars era that I'm sure cgi can manage for people like me
I got goosebumps when Anakin did his signature Lightsaber wrist movement before striking Ahsoka again
You can tell ani was a bad father
Was so heartwarming seeing Anakin help Ahsoka her heal the guilt she held for Anakin’s path and the anxiety she had for Sabine’s future. See can finally practice radical acceptance.
This is where the fun begins, just watched part V last night. Loved everything from the Clone Wars flashback Ahsoka and Anakin have together from Teth, to Ryloth, and finally the Siege of Mandalore with Captain Rex finally. I bet this was Force Ghost Anakin this entire time. And just realized the actress who played young Ahsoka in the Clone Wars flashback is actually Ariana Greenblatt was also young Gamora in Avengers Infinity War.
I believe this is Anakin’s force ghost who brought Ahsoka into The World Between Worlds. Yoda has shown in The Last Jedi that Jedi force ghosts can become corporal and interact with the physical world. Anakin’s force ghost is familiar with everything he went through while he was alive as well as what’s going on during present times. Anakin has good intentions towards Ahsoka and genuinely wants to help her.
For all the shit people give TLJ I thought it added the potential for great things when it comes to using the force in more ways than usual especially with Force Ghost. In the OT Ben said "strike me down and I shall become more powerful than you could imagine.".... annnd it meant nothing all he gained was the power to sit on a log and continue to lie and spout random so-called wisdom. Literally aside from being able to annoy someone forever he doesn't gain more power as he can't physically do anything he least living he could fight. But TLJ changed that Yoda used rhe force to call freaking lightning he interacted with the freaking world! It set-up so much potential we could have force ghost come back, do some real training, maybe even fight against sith acolytes which I've seen theories of happening before ROS released... and what did JJ do with that potential? Have Luke catch a fukking saber 😒 THAT'S IT! oh and give Kylo a saber through their connection smh. He could bring Palp bafk with "sith magic" but couldn't get more creative than that? I honestly feel like if Rian did the entire trilogy it'd have been much better throughout the entire thing we'd have had force ghosts fighting and doing cool shit not to mention not repeating the same Palpatine story again plus other tired plots. Even if I didn't like it all I feel we overall would've gotten more fresh and newer ideas in SW to push it forward not the same old rehashing with a not so new coat of paint results that we got.
I’m pretty sure he is a force ghost in this and due to him being “the chosen one” mage have been able to retain greater “power” as he learned how to project himself into the living world as well as the world between worlds
The reason he doesn’t have a blue outline around him is because he is projecting himself in a realm outside the living force
If he were to project himself in the normal world then im sure the blue outline would be there.
I also think the reason he shows up as Ep3 attire is because that’s how Ashoka possibly remembers him OR it could be that’s how he wants to project himself to her
@@Lurkai I’m in agreement with all of this and thought the same. Couldn’t initially write more cause my comment would be too long. It’s like I passed you the football to run it in for the touchdown. 😀
@@alexanderthegreat5649 oh man, I suppose they will act as if 7-8-9 didn't happen or happen in other universe. it doesn't reflect with all that Lukas and Dave Filony did. it's just different. so, i don't think they will use a thing they showed in 7-8-9
@@alexanderthegreat5649 nah, I thought what Rian did was out of place within a trilogy that was clearly cobbled together. And he just added more irrelevant shit to paper thin script that already lacked cohesion. There's things to like about the sequel trilogy sure. But they're still not good.
All the scenes with Ahsoka & Anakin were so great & nostalgic that I completely forgot about the show's other plots.
All there was, is the here and now..the clone wars, their fights, his descent from blue to red, then back to blue.
And Snips..oh Snips...You training is complete
Thank you Master Anakin 🙇🥲
Hayden really showed how good he is dueling. He has this speed and set of flourishes that I haven't seen from Star Wars since Ray Parks as Maul.
Biggest thing I loved seeing, is Annakin at first trying Clone Wars approach, then wanted to see if it might be something she experienced on her own... BUT when she wasn't seeing it, he finally went full tough teacher and pulled from his dark side to scare her back to life and I LOVE how he started getting rougher and rougher till she finally fought back and took a moment to pull that dark back into himself. Just amazing representation of a teacher/father, trying to teach his child/padawan how hard life is from making it a game to mentally approach it, then when they question their tone, brings up the reality and when giving up, to finally scare life back to them.
As an old-school, die-hard SW fan who didn't watch Rebels or any of the other animations (but did watch SW explainer vids on YT... I completely dug this episode and thought it was amazing! Best episode of the series so far. 👌🏼
Nice!
Time to go watch the Clone Wars series -- YT breakdowns don't do it justice!
The animated shows are really good and mature. Both Rebels and Clone Wars start a bit childish but mature as the seasons go on.
@@nicholasmwangangi6257
Yeah that was my problems with them! I'm not big on animation period, and they felt like a chore to get through watching as an adult same as watching DBZ over and realizing how annoying kids were like Gohan and such. Had I been younger when I tried to watch them I'm sure it would've been a better experience, but both styles I absolutely hated as well. Clone Wars character styles I hated and idk who approved those pencil thin sabers in Rebels but theysa should've been insa Big DOO-DOO DIS TIME!!!😂
It made them so non-threatening visually imo it was hard to take seriously.
I think my favourite thing about this episode was finally seeing Anakin surpass everybody. Beautiful character, redemption.
My family and I enjoyed Ahsoka and especially Episode 5, which we give a 10 like we did for episode 4. We are very happy to see Hayden back as Anakin and hope to see more of him in Filoni Star Wars content. Happy to see that Jacen has great Jedi powers and will need to be trained asap. One scene that stands out is when Anakin can see that Ahsoka has finally mature and wants to live.
It's really hard to pick only one a favorite moment, but here are my top picks: 1)The fight scenes with Anakin-Vader. Hayden was INCREDIBLE! Holy cow, His menace was palpable and he was frightening. He went all out. The power in his strokes! He certainly did not pull his punches, so to speak; 2)The revelation that we are in the Clone Wars and the appearance of Young Ahsoka. Ariana Greenblatt was AMAZING and believable as young Ahsoka; 3) Young Ahsoka's saber work in the Siege of Mandalore; 4) The several flickers of Vader over Anakin. The cinematography!!!!! 5) Hayden's overall performance! The close-up on his face when Ahsoka chooses to live was a brilliant moment. His nuances changing from rage monster to benevolent Master was stunning!
As I was watching this episode, I thought how much I like this idea that they're using these characters from the Clone Wars and Rebels continuity to retell the story of the Thrawn trilogy, which is something that fans have always wanted to see done on screen. They can also bring in every character from the new live-action shows which take place during this time period in the galaxy's history, like Din Djarin, Grogu, Boba Fett, etc. And because of the new FX technology, they can bring Luke, Leia and Han into it as well. I'm looking forward to seeing what they're going to do here....an interquel between the time of the OT and the ST, using the new mythology they've created to tell a story that's at once familiar, unpredictable and compelling.
Ah, yes! The legendary Bona Fett 😅
Man I can not wait for the trilogy. I just home thrawn clones some Jedi so they can be under his command with Georgia dna. It’s going to be sick if they do that.
I just don't want to see a CGI version of Carrie Fisher. I feel she wouldn't appreciate that. And I would like to see Harrison Ford's answer when asked to shoot more scenes as solo😂
I think after seeing this episode, they might be open to returning, and Carrie’s family giving the nod. @@tefoca
I'd personally rather they just cast someone else as Luke and Leia (as long as they do it justice) and use the young Solo actor
Man this episode was so goooooood! I love how we got to see how great and powerful Alakin really was again and how much Ahsoka has grown since the last time they seen each other. I swear I rewatched the scene of Anakin and Ashoka several times. I loved how well the battle scenes between them was and then how Ashoka eyes went red and then back to their original color. I really hope Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau get to write and direct the Thrawn movie.
Such a special episode.. I quite literally teared up during this show.. the purrgil took my breath away.. the Kanan name drop.. young Ahsoka... Clone Wars live action.. it was all good!
My only critique was that they didn't use Temuera Morrison.. no Rex... and no morai...
A small correction: the scene where Anakin tells Ahsoka "If you stop fighting you die", is no longer the mission to the Monastery on Teth. If you watch closely there are several Twi'lek resistance fighters in the background. So that scene was taking place during the Ryloth campaign, and the losses under Ahsoka's command was actually about the pilots she lost during the first attempt to break the blockade. The depiction of the aftermath of a ground battle was probably just a visual shorthand for the causals in the audience.
Well stated, I definitely was like that’s a neat way of moving the story along for folks
I can watch Hayden as Anakin wield his lightsaber for hours.. you can tell he puts in crazy time into perfecting his choreography. He’s just too damn cool!
I love Anakin's lightsaber style of fighting compared to everything we've seen, it's fast and aggressive
2:33 this scene was epic af, his reaction to it and him igniting the red lightsaber after this. Damn
Absolutely loved the live action flashback to the clone wars. Seeing him in the armor, her younger self, him calling her snips, seeing Captain Rex. It was hard to not cry. Only thing that would've made it better is if they had Obi-Wan there too.
My eyes peed...... I couldn't help myself. 😢😊
I loved the transitions of Anakin switching between Jedi & Sith and the scene of young Ahsoka and the clone troops charging through the fog. There's some greet cinematography happening in this show.
That shot of Anakin walking away, swapping between himself and Vader was so good.
The Fight between Ahsoka and Anakin is one of THE best live action lightsaber fights, I LOVED it.
Hope to see more of the show in the future.
Anakin was testing Ahsoka, not trying to beat her. She passed the test by choosing to live. This is why he smiled at the end.
Yup, good point If he wanted to beat her the fight would have been over when he first showed up as Anakin before turning into Vader.
@@rodrigobarba930i think most people were focusing on the two fighting rather than the lesson Anakin was teaching her. The duel between them though was darn good!
@@CaroleC61 agreed!

She did a great job as young Gamora too
@@Powerbear26 that's where I saw her before! Nice catch!!!
@@Powerbear26OH SNAP!!!
Yeah I got emotional when I saw her at that stage. So much to learn, so much pain. She wasn’t just developed as a character, she was forged on the lava shores of Mustafar. Anakin made sure of that. He put that inside her. And the result is incredible.
Anakin is the best thing to ever come into Star Wars. Hopefully we see much more of him going forward because I think most people would much rather see that than anything to do with or leading up to the sequel trilogy.
I really enjoyed that once Ahsoka disarmed Anakin, you see her red eyes kick in for just a second! So cool!
Okay, you saw that too!!?? I gasped, but then I second guessed it and just thought, "Oh, that was just the red from the saber reflecting in her eyes..." 👀👀
Yeah she definitely went there. She already showed Shin FAFO not an hour prior so she’s not having the best of days.
@@thestarseeker8196lol guy stfu she is not stronger than anakin he definitely was toying with her if he went full strength she would have died quickly
@@ginakearney4146the cinematography aspect of it was definitely on purpose to show her being tempted with the dark side
This is the only comment I seen that talked about her sith eyes and the temptation even for that split second
I loved when Ahsoka displayed her anger towards Anakin going to the darkside, with him being pissed that she would use his bad choice as excuse for her’s
A cool Easter Egg for people who played the Revenge of the Sith game was the scene with "Dark" Anakin. In the game, there was an alternate ending you could unlock where you defeat Kenobi, and then Sidious arrives on Mustafar with a new lightsaber for Anakin. It is the same hilt, but with the bled red crystal.
So, in essence, we are sort of seeing that alternate reality Anakin where he didn't suffer his injuries and was a full power Vader. Suffice to say, I love Star Wars!
Speaking for myself: This is hands-down the best episode yet and Hayden made it absolutely amazing. “You lack conviction” and the following combat was heart stopping. Too good!
Hayden wearing clone wars armors brought me to tears
Hayden has been an actor in so many bad movies and scripts that it’s surprising that when he actually gets a chance, he can deliver Superwell. And what’s also clearly visible is how well he can still fight in his style. A lot more agile and acrobatic, the years of practice DO show. Especially in comparison to Rosario, Who’s new to the whole thing.
Absolutely I was waiting for this break down video for a long time now and honestly that episode felt so surreal with the whole clone wars flashbacks, and how it impacted Ahsoka as a young Padawan it was just mind blowing but Dave Filoni done it again
Thanks! I appreciate that!
The transition between blue light saber(Anakin) to red light saber(Darth Vader) was an epic scene. A person capable of Showing virtue and vice.
Man to think I thought we saw some of the best light Saber Duels last episode to only see the Ahsoka and Anakin give us an amazing battle in live action. The fact Jacen could sense their light sabers was incredible! Cant wait to see how they further develop his character! Man the way this entire episode was done was Flawless and kudos to the young Ahsoka she did such an excellent job! What an episode by far some of the best Star Wars we have ever witnessed!!!! #MayTheForceBeWithYou
The scene where Ahsoka is watching anakin walking away and she sees him as Vadar for a second might be the best scene in the Disney plus shows and one of the best in all of Star Wars
Thr ending segment with Ashoka ,and hera going their separate ways was so sad ,and heartwarming haven't heard " may the force be with you "used in such a great manner since the OG triology.
Thank you for clarifying this. I have to say Hayden Christianson’s acting is really good in Kenobi and Ashoka. The whole transition with Vader’s shadow is awesome!

@@stephendillon4922 😊
One of the best breakdowns I have seen so far, great job on helping us understand what is happening with your well-thought-out theories. To answer your question about the young Aksoka actress, her name is Ariana Greenblatt, she played in the Live action version of Little Mermaid and also in Avengers Infinity War as a young Gamora. She is on a great start in her acting career.
This is the best episode of Disney Star wars since Luke Skywalker came back in season two of the mandalorian. The Anakin Skywalker reappearance absolutely phenomenal. I don't know if they use de-aging on him or not either way it looks great. Anakin look like Anakin at least. In my opinion. And young ahsoka both times was fantastic, especially the time where she was on and the battle of mandalore siege mandalore. They did the makeup great! The costume was great. There was nothing bad about this episode in my opinion whatsoever and maybe quite possibly the greatest thing. NO SHIN and
NO SABINE absolutely made me happy. The only thing missing was an appearance from skoll, but that's understandable. I am perfectly fine with Anakin becoming a Mortis god because he was the chosen one and he was a good guy, then fell to the dark side and then came back as a good guy at the end of return of the Jedi ceiling himself as a mortis god possibly. Now a lot of people are going to come out and say no. Luke is the chosen one but I don't think so. He's the son of the chosen one. Anyway, great episode. The battles were great. The clones are great! It was great. The lightsaber duels are outstanding. Very powerful, very strong and I just really enjoyed the show for the second time. The first three episodes were so slow. In fact they were too slow. They could have done a little bit faster work with the first three episodes to lead up to the fourth episode which led to the fifth episode but overall outstanding acting outstanding choreographing. Everything was great. I can't complain at all about this episode. In fact, I'm going to have to force myself to stop talking about it right now
Exactly 💯
I was hoping Luke would at least get a name-drop
@@thisworldisinsane5679 that would have been good. I agree but I'm glad. Finally, we got a good Star wars episode. We haven't had a really good one since Luke came back in the second season of The mandalorian so this was definitely a treat for me and episode 4 of ahsoka was great too. The first three I understand they were for build up for episode 4 and 5 but they were ridiculously slow and Sabine. They just need to either kill her off or make her less important in the series because she doesn't have force abilities. Now we have Hera being able to hear into the force just because The force resides in all living things doesn't make everybody able to be a force user or hear into the force. I think they're getting a little ridiculous now. Pretty soon everyone's going to all of a sudden have force powers and it's going to take away the magic of Star wars. The mysticism I guess would be a better word if all of a sudden everybody's able to tap into it no matter who you are. Just because it resides in all living things, it's ridiculous and I hope Dave faloni doesn't take it that far. Okay fine. I'll give her a break. She was the mother of a for sensitive and maybe she has some after effects of having Jason inside of her making her somewhat for sensitive but that should only be for a limited time after giving birth to a force and this sort of and then that ability to hear into the force goes away for the mother
Luke is absolutely not the chosen one!! It winds me up something stupid when people claim he is!!😅
The scene where Ashoka held the light saber to Anakin’s throat was great. Anakin had the same moment and killed count Dooku leading him down the path of the dark side. Ashoka made the same decision Luke made when he didn’t kill Palpatine. This decision leads her path towards the light figuratively and literally when we see the spotlights of the Ghost locate her. Leading to her transition to Ashoka in the white outfit. Great Episode!
No one seemed to notice that as Ahsoka leaned into Anakin's face, her eyes briefly turned sith yellow- just to show how as a grey Jedi she teeters on the edge, but she has gained mastery over her anger.
The teeth of the purrgil looked EXACTLY like the ridges of the asteroid/space slug mouth they flew into in ESB…. Ahsoka says “that’ll do” when Huyang points it out, just like Han says “that’ll do nicely” when they spot the asteroid crevice in ESB. When Ahsoka tells Hera she will find Sabine, “I promise,” it is calling back to Lando telling Leia “We’ll find Han. I promise.” Plus of course Hera’s “May the force be with you” response.
Y’all so obsessed with the deep lore, comics, video games, and cartoons that you miss the references to the OG trilogy! 😂
E5 was epic, and I'm not ashamed to say I teared up when Ahsoka and Anakin were together in The World Between Worlds. I understood that a whole lot better after watching your breakdown.
This episode was loaded with iconic images and tons of canon. Love this show
I see that others have said this but my opinion is that he is the embodiment of The Living Force. LIght, Dark, Balanced, Whole. He has fulfilled his destiny and is all of the Mortis gods in one being which explains his ability to shift from light to dark and back with total control. I can’t put into words the amount of possibilities this opens up for Anakin to show up in future Star Wars projects too. This was an amazing episode.
That episode was INSANE!!! THANK YOU DAVE FILONI!!! Still super confused as to whether all of that was a vision or actually in the world between worlds. Either way, loved the episode. Can't wait for next week, we're going to a new galaxy!
Yeah can't wait to see Thrawn and Ezra Live!
I think the fact that jacen syndulla could hear the lightsabers. Means that it was more than just a dream.
Yeah I think that was real , Anakin was really there and it’s present day Anakin but he’s become something more and powerful than before. It also would explain why he doesn’t appear to others in the world of the living cause he’s got a new role to fulfill
It’s not world between worlds it’s anakin entering her subconsciousness
Hell yeah! Thank Kathleen Kennedy as well... she certainly gets all the blame when fans don't like something, and she's just as involved on the things we do like as the things we don't so. If she gets blame for bad, gotta give credit for good. Unless we want to be hypocrites.
I love how they've changed the point of view on Anakin. "Is that what this is about?" - Anakin asks Ahsoka in frustration and more importantly he asks US. Am I all about becoming and being a Darth Vader for you? Am I a wounded cyborg that switch sides in the last moment in order to save his son?
NO
I am much more than that!
This episode was amazing. There were so many moments of nostalgia, and they made it so seemlessly. The show is getting better and better ❤🔥
Also, Ahsoka, as a child, is being played by the same person who did young Gamora in #ENDGAME
This is where the fun begins!
@@emergencyawesomeYoung Asoka is being played by the same girl Who did young gamora in endgame

great little actress
She was in INFINITY WAR, not ENDGAME. 🙂
Best Episode 5 commentary video on RUclips. This one makes the most sense. I think the 1 hour runtime made them rush through the Anakin Ahsoka stuff and I couldn't figure out exactly what Anakin was getting to, before this video. Thanks for the great videos.
Thanks!
The scene of both of them fighting when he is Vader is just amazing. Seeing him go from a Anakin to Vader back to anakin is just beautiful. Plus the Rex scene 💙
Many lightsaber fights recently don’t feel the same maybe because the participants were never really trained properly in cannon like the Sabine and mando fight but the fights scenes in this episode seams smooth and executed perfectly knowing that anakin was one of the best lightsaber duelist of all time
I feel the same it's just not believable. Even some of the acting and script seems so substandard
Always appreciate clone war anakin outfit, a pleasant surprise to see it in live action
The detail they went into for the episode is just chefs kiss. With the orange painted helmets of the 501st during the siege of Mandalore. The changing of anakin through his different times from clone wars to return of the jedi. Like they didn't need to add the voice modulation of Vader voice but the chills that they did
I’m thankful that there were no parts of their face off in any of the trailers leading up to last month, as this could be one of those episodes which we were unaware that we needed. Thanks 🙏🏼 Charlie.
Also give credit to the flashback with young Ahsoka! the young actress really brought the animated Ahsoka to life.her movements were so close to the animated series,i loved it!
My interpretation of Anakin is that it IS his present day force ghost (hence his Vader knowledge), but because the World Between Worlds is a realm within the Force as opposed to the natural world, he can fully manifest without the blue glow.
Yeah that’s what I think. The world between worlds is a different dimension. In that realm they look real, but when entering the physical dimension they appear blue
Yup, I think Ahsoka takes places after BoE when Vader finally dies with Luke by his side and is redeemed. Some people for some reason forget that part and think Vader/Anakin's alive
This is where the fun begins!!!!! I absolutely Love this episode!!!!! Seeing Hayden Christianten and Rosario Dawson playing as Anakin and Ahsoka put a huge smile on my face 😌
The circle is now complete! 🙏🏽💪
I like the fact that we get to see anakin after he turned away from the dark, outside of the force ghost family photos and voice overs, it shows his redemption, rather than implying it.
Also seems like he's in continuous redemption by balancing the force even after death
The remaining Ahsoka episodes are gonna have to be very special to top episode 5. Loved every second of the episode. Only problem, it should have been longer.
I think this Anakin is the Anakin that resides inside Ahsoka, similar to how normal people can have vivid dreams of encountering a loved one who has passed away, or in a near-death experience. That would also explain why this Anakin has the knowledge he has. But of course, Ahsoka feels incredibly ambivalent about the Anakin that resides inside her. And this sequence brings some clarity to that ambivalence. Whatever may be the case, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Jedi’s can actually see memories, Cal does it in Jedi Survivor as one of his abilities. Loved the Purgal scenes, so cool to see them live
p.s. THANK YOU DAVE FILONI!!
And Quinlan Vos in the book Dark Disciple
I think her experience with Anakin made her remember there’s more to the Force that just being a soldier. Helping her remember or unlock abilities
The little details like the length of anakins hair or Ahsokas tendrils during the different time periods were great
clone war was my childhood watching this feel like a dream come true it was incredible seeing Hayden Christensen back as anakin in a live action clone wars battle seeing the clone in live action was amazing hayden is still impressive with his lightsaber technique his fighting style reminded me of him fighting count dooku in ep. 3
episode 5 of Ashoka is the definition of peak star wars hand down the best in the series
Filoni outdid himself he deserves all the praise, and recognition 👏🏽👏🏽.
I think the reference that Anakin is making when he says “I’ve heard that before” to Ahsoka saying she won’t fight him is a reference to her saying those exact words to him in Rebels when she discovered he was Vader.
She actually said "I won't leave you, not this time." So that was a callback to what Luke said to Vader.
Filoni delivered way more than we all had expected with this episode, best Star Wars content since ROTS hands down!
SWEAR and I hate to say it but this episode alone was better than mando season 2
@@weed3728I love Mando season 2
Andor is really good
@emergencyawesome The actress that plays young Ahsoka is Ariana Greenblatt. She was recently in the Barbie movie, Bad Mom's Christmas, and more familiarly played Young Gamora in Infinity War.
Only complaint is that i would've liked to see a real scene with Ahsoka and Rex in live action
It was great to see Anakin and Ahsoka interactions from a bunch of different points in time though
Think Rex will appear in season 2
I agree with this 😂 when I heard Rex was coming, I wasn't expecting a blink and you miss it scene
This was probably my favorite episode. I enjoyed every minute of it and the Anakin changing from Anakin to Vader and back to Anakin. I'm gonna watch it again. Also can I just say I love that Ariana Greenblatt is getting more work on bigger franchises like being a younger Gamora and now young Ahsoka Tano. I've seen her since she was on Disney Channel on the same show as Jenna Ortega and I'm happy that not only Jenna Ortega has become a big star but Ariana Greenblatt is becoming a big star
This series is SOOO good. They are really righting the ship for Star Wars and it is exciting to see how they grow the series in the coming years. The sequel trilogy just needs to be retcon as much as possible and we need to get this timeline pushed into the future. I really wonder if we'll see Luke before season 1 closes out.
respectfully I disagree. The Anakin you see is the Force Ghost Anakin. The Force is created by all living things and connects all living things, wielders of the Force who are strong in it, who die and join the force can maintain their consciousness and manipulate the force to manifest. The World Between Worlds, in my opinion, based off of Filoni's description of it, is in essence a "fourth dimension" or a means of viewing the living force and how it connects all things. In this way I believe this is how the force ghosts work, they traverse the WBW to manifest. However due to breaking reality they can only utilize portals that are post their death.
This is why Anakin greets Ahsoka with "I didn't expect to see you so soon." She's literally on the verge of joining the Force (dying) and therefore is in the WBW. To further reinforce this point, as she is "dying" Anakin arrives to "finish her training," I.E. how to become a force ghost. This is a reference to how Qui-Gon appeared to train Yoda. Notice it's only when she "chooses to live" that she leaves the WBW and is restored to physical form (a form chopper can sense). Additionally this is why Jacen can sense their dual since he is in tune with the force, because in that moment she has transcended to join the force.
I believe the other lesson she is meant to learn if she is to live is that she needs to rebalance herself. Due to her betrayal of Anakin becoming Vader, she has removed all emotion and gone to the extreme, therefore removing any lessons Anakin taught her. She "rebalances" herself by accepting Anakins good teachings while pushing out and recognizing his turning. This is why the live-action Ahsoka starts to act much more like the animated series when she returns to the physical realm.
Awesome breakdown. The actress playing Young Ahsoka is Ariana Greenblatt who played Young Gamora in Avengers Infinity War
anakin's transition between light and dark side is truly incredible. i felt this was way more powerful than any of the leaked info about ahsoka going to mustafar in an alternate timeline to fight anakin in lieu of obi-wan.
I'm gonna be honest, we have already seen Anakin as a force ghost when he appeared before Luke. Idk how it would make sense for them to change his force ghost status. I think it makes more sense to explain that force ghosts reside within the world between worlds and that is what gives them the ability to do as they do. As for why anakin didn't have a blue aura around him (as a force ghost would) I would argue that it would look aesthetically stupid to put a blue aura around a guy who is already in a world that is glowing blue. It would make more sense that when the force ghosts leave the world between worlds they appear blue because the world between worlds itself is blue.
Anakin isn't like the others though. He is a child of the force.
Underrated comment
@@joeys7519yap like this take on it
These Episodes keep getting better and better! Dave Faloni is killing it! I almost thought Ahsoka was gonna pull a Dory from Finding Nemo and speak vocally to the Pergil lol
Gotta say, this is turning into something a lot better than I was expecting. I'm enjoying the heck out of this series... 😁
More to come!

There should have been some dialouge discussing Anakin's fall the darkside. All we got was deflecting of the of the topic with "is that what this is about?" From Collider: "Ahsoka’s “training” stands in the place of actual storytelling. By driving Ahsoka and Anakin straight into a duel, we’re robbed of dialogue and character moments that could heighten the story that Filoni is attempting to tell."
Ahsoka no longer has the headdress she’s been wearing for so long. It’s been replaced with a newer headdress that has a single rounded T-shape. She’s wearing it when she exits Hera’s ship and greets Jacen in Episode 5 wearing white.
The Akul teeth were supposed to have a certain significance on her other headdresses, so what does the new headdress insignia… signify? Or is it a fashion choice? : )
