Bro!! You are the man! Thank you for taking the time to show us this. Worked perfectly for me. I had to do both adjustments as you said and I am no longer being passed.
Done the throttle cable adjustment with them two 10 mm nuts and cart came to life.... From 17mph max, i can now go 25mph. EZGO 2021 ex1 engine, 150cc. Thanks for the video
Did exactly the same thing. Cart backfired, completely fouled the plug with so much oil and now won't start. Can't figure out how to het it going again. Only ran it this way for a day. Is yours still going strong?
That’s the right way to do it. The 2 10mm nuts on that throttle cable is the only thing you should be messing with to get speed. Don’t adjust that butterfly shaped thing like the guy first did. That’s a good way the screw up your governor magnets in the transaxle.
I just bought a new 2019 ezgo TXT with a 13.5 Kawasaki engine and I don’t get any response from the gas Pedal until I get nearly to the floor. Will doing what this video shows fix that?
Unfortunately I did exactly as the video says and my parts look just like yours and I’m still getting zero response from the gas pedal until I’m literally to the floor with it. Any suggestions or ideas as to why?
There is an adjustment on the pedal side under the floor mat that you might be able to do if you have a lot of cable stretch and you you have used up all the adjustment on the engine side @@chrismoore4219. You will need to pull the mat back and look at the cable linkage on the floor/pedal side.
Hi I have an ezgo L6 express 2018 Kawasaki engine. Is this video adjusting the governor or just the throttle, if just the throttle how do you adjust the governor? 2nd question I seem to have to choke my cart until it warms up before it will run with just the pedal…what should I adjust to keep that from happening? I understand if it’s really cold I may have to use the choke but it seems to happen when it’s pretty warm like 50 degrees outside. Once the engine is hot it seems to be fine. Great videos and information…really appreciate the content.
I’ve got a 2022 Cushman hauler GC with the Kawasaki 13.5 hp and I’m struggling on hills. Loosing rpm’s, loosing torque… only doing a walking pace up hills. Any suggestions to help with this?
Idk if you’re having this problem still, but I’m a cart boy at a golf course and Ive had this problem too. In my little experience I’ve seen that it’s either a clogged carburetor, or a dirty wire mesh filter in the exhaust system. To clean out the carburetor there is a a product called sea foam that you can pour into the gas tank. To clean out the wire mesh in the exhaust I have no clue what you need to do.
@@HeyHeyHey97 Hmmm. Didn’t know that. Maybe it’s not getting enough air. I’ve had a few carts go down due to lack of airflow with how hot it is outside rn. Who knows. I’m just guessing. You’re the expert.
I will be back at the shop on monday and will make you one. If you order one. Order the a-arm lift. That way you can adjust the camber.. do not order a spindle lift.
I just did both of the adjustments you said on my 2022 express s4. It did help and I can tell a difference with pulling a hill but it does seem like it’s still lagging some. Now that I’ve set the two plates to wide open with the 10mm nut, would I just keep tightening the throttle cable with the other two 10mm nuts to help it out, and if so, how far is too far? Not interested in blowing the motor up when I’ve only had it a week now.
@@HeyHeyHey97 ok I’ll check that. So I’m new to all of this but am I supposed to just keep tightening the throttle cable a little and then test it? Also if I go too far is it something that is going to mess it up right away or no?
But I have another problem we're having to do with the governor cable I don't want it to go any faster it's just that every time I start it when I park it it won't turn off I have to open up the seat and pop the governor for it to turn off then I have to open up the seat and put the governor back in for it to start moving how do I tighten the governor on this EZGO Express S4
If it’s the Kawasaki engine. When ever you let go of the gas. The coil should ground out and kill the fire. Regardless if the throttle is open or not. The coil gets a ground to kill it from the relay beside the battery. But look under the exhaust header on top of the engine make sure that the kill wire to the coil is plugged in.
I tightened up the governor through the first option with the 10 mm and then I tightened and loosened up the pool cable but it won't turn off and on unless I do it manually where the governor shaft begins so what step do you think I need to take next please let me know don't have much money but we'll send you a little tip thank you very much
Make sure you carb flap is closing all the way. You want the carb to open up once the cart is turning over. If the throttle is working right close carb
I have 2019 Ezgo with Kawasaki motor guy before me adjusted the some to make it faster but at wide open it falls on it face a comes back but only on full throttle what can I do. I want go faster and it not fall on its fast at wide open
But yours will be a little different but same principal. Yours will have a spring with a 10 mm and a 9/16 nut on it. Turn the 9/16 nut it and jam with the 10

If your plug fouled with oil. You probably have too much oil in engine. Did it foul by oil or running rich
