    Try chalk marks instead of coins! Quick, easy, you can see if you hit it but don’t necessarily have to remove them later if they’re discreet enough

    This is so comprehensive! All explanations are succinct and love how you recorded each drill for reference. As a new climber, I’m definitely keen to try some of these drills out when I’m in the gym next!

    6:04 Did I see some tapping there? I have a drill for that. As soon as your foot touches something, it sticks. You're not allowed to readjust.

      I think you did see some tapping! Obviously need to keep at it ;)

    My favorite skill for beginner is called: don’t forget to breathe! For real tho, find a problem that’s a few grades below your level and just focus on breathing. Climb as slow as possible and take deep breaths in and out. It helps a lot with tension and fear of falling.

    Actually, there is a third way to switch feet: smearing.

    About the coin game - use corks instead! Our gym collected loads of corks and we have a big tub now for this drill

    Great video! Could I ask what camera do you use to record yourself/how do you record yourself? A common advice on the internet is to record yourself climbing as one way of improving a beta...however I feel like I'm always too shy to record! Do you have any tips on how to overcome this/best ways to record yourself?

    • @SendEdition
      @SendEdition  3 года назад +1

      Recording myself has been super helpful, I'd recommend it! It was a little embarrassing at first, but it's much easier now. This is everything I used to record myself - sendedition.com/video-photo-set-up-for-climbing/

    We use the coin drill with kids and put small toy animals on the footholds or quarks

    Oh so I'm not really good at foot work even though I identify as someone who is?! Bigoted much?? Identifying as a good climber is exactly the same as being one. Get woke! #VICTIMFORLIFE

    • @lepidum3832

      Why bring thinly veiled transphobia to a footwork drill video, think about something else every now and then??

    • @bkl8804
      @bkl8804 Год назад

      @@lepidum3832 Maybe I need a break but taking issue with dogmatic wokism isn't transphobic. Neither is being concerned about the long term effects of HRT and puberty blockers in adolescents.
