      Sylhet is a division. It is not province.

Give Sreemangal a try if u r still in Bangladesh. You won't regret. It's just around 80 kms away from where u are right now.
Thing is most people don't get to see the real serene beauty of Bangladesh because of not knowing where to go and what to see..
Here's something for ya if u still make it to Sreemangal.
    1. Golf Field,
    2. Bharaura Tea Garden
    3. Baikka bil
    4. Madhabpur Lake
    5. Christian Cemetery
    6. Bangladesh Tea Research Institute - BTR, etc..
For your stay over there, u can choose one of the beautiful resorts of Bangladesh named Grand Sultan Tea Resort and Golf..
If u need someone to show around, I'm gonna get u tour guide for free, as a treat for my guest in my hometown. Would luv to see my beloved hometown in ur eyes..

@@dabbleandtravelI am a Bangladeshi descent born and bred in London. I go back with family maybe on a 3/4 year cycle during the school summer holidays to visit extended family and keep the kids in touch with their roots. Even I would not have taken that train journey 😂😂😂
However, what you need to realise is Bangladesh is still a developing country (although developing fast) and the the culture and customs are very different from the UK. Being disturbed by sellers on the trains or buses is the norm and even welcome by the local travellers as they want refreshments along the way on a 12 hour journey.
Also people are naturally more inquisitive, if you sit next to them, they will talk to you. Even more so to you guys, as they don't seen many English 'white' people. So it's the curiosity that can sometimes get mistaken for intrusion into someone's private space. Quite the opposite to the scenario on the tube in London, where looking away from the person sitting in front of you as a art form.
Lastly Sylhet in particular Moulvibazar is probably the most tranquil part of Bangladesh. There are many small resorts in Moulvibazar that is a joy to visit, catering especially to foreigners which we are referred to when we visit the land of our forefathers AND also considered foreigners by some here in the UK (but thats another story). The small resorts are amazing I'll give you some names, so you may consider visitng: Dui Sai resort, Grand Sultan Tea resort, Lemon Garden, Rangauti resort, Laurel Hill Park - just a few of many.
All the best, enjoy your travels in Sylhet & Bangladesh.

Come to Indonesia, bro, in the Puncak Bogor area, the view of the tea gardens is very beautiful and very neatly arranged, you can come to see people harvesting tea and there you can visit the tea factory directly for free without paying and there are many foreign tourists who come there, there is even an Arab village there.
and when you come there you don't feel like you're in Indonesia, like in Arabia because there are so many Arab stalls and shops and there are so many Arab people and there is also something more beautiful, namely at the top of Bandung. The difference here is a Chinese village and here there are lots of tourists from China, Singapore and Malaysia.

You don’t get seven-layer tea in Sylhet town; you need to go to Srimangal, which is a district city in the Sylhet region
