Awesome video! Sylhet seems to have a very different feel from other parts of Bangladesh. I knew little about Bangladesh, except that bengal tigers are from there, until I watched your vlogs. This is an interesting area. You guys deserved that sleep in after that chaotic train ride.
Our dialect of the bangla language is very different from the other parts of Bangladesh. Mainly because we have had a lot of influence from turks , persians and arabs.
Try to take local guide with you who can speak with you or you can use Google Translator apps so that people can understand what actually you are looking for. And by the way I'm from Sylhet and i live in Paris. There are so many visiting areas in Sylhet.

@dabble and Travel Give Sreemangal a try if u r still in Bangladesh. You won't regret. It's just around 80 kms away from where u are right now. Thing is most people don't get to see the real serene beauty of Bangladesh because of not knowing where to go and what to see.. Here's something for ya if u still make it to Sreemangal. 1. Golf Field, 2. Bharaura Tea Garden 3. Baikka bil 4. Madhabpur Lake 5. Christian Cemetery 6. Bangladesh Tea Research Institute - BTR, etc.. For your stay over there, u can choose one of the beautiful resorts of Bangladesh named Grand Sultan Tea Resort and Golf.. hi guyz, i am really sorry that u your 1st impression for malonisora tea garden was bad bt believe me it is actually not like what u hv seen. i would recommend u to visit Ratargul swamp forest which located in Gowainghat, Srimangal Tea Garden is located in Sreemangal, Lawachara National Park and try to meet khaiya polli people so that u can see the bangladeshi femous PAAN (i.e., green betel leaf) plantation and visit their village and last but not least Lala khal which is leak of blue watet and zero point of Bangladesh. Come to Indonesia, bro, in the Puncak Bogor area, the view of the tea gardens is very beautiful and very neatly arranged, you can come to see people harvesting tea and there you can visit the tea factory directly for free without paying and there are many foreign tourists who come there, there is even an Arab village there. and when you come there you don't feel like you're in Indonesia, like in Arabia because there are so many Arab stalls and shops and there are so many Arab people and there is also something more beautiful, namely at the top of Bandung. Almost all tea workers aren't sylheti. They come from other parts of bangladesh here to work. Also, whoever stays at the hotel ask for room 915, it's a 2 bedroom suite with personal butler service. Only 2 of a kind in the hotel.
