Unfortunately, most unfortunately, we have not heard the “uncommon act” that what we want to hear, even from the “uncommon” ex governor Akpabio.
We want to hear from ex governors in government of their decision to give up on pensions and allowances from their respective states in deference to the suffering ordinary Nigerians.

Hmmm.....a lot was said by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
1. The remark on the G5 isn't a good one, as it epitomized mockery. Did Wike really stand for justice? Is Wike actually a man of his words? Recall Wike demanded for the resignation of Ayu and an emergence of a Southerner as PDP's Chairman, as a condition to support Atiku. If PDP had agreed, would Wike still beat his chest to say that he and the G5 'truly' wanted power to return to the South? I think we have to understand the antics of politicians...all politicians, they are selfish in their dealings.
2. We could also see that Akpabio was admonishing Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State, not to go against the 'wishes' of Wike. Isn't he the same person that said the Senate will not be a rubber stamp of the Executive. One could deduce that politicians love Godfatherism.
3. Do we really think these politicians care about us? Yet, under comment sections of political discussions, we are quick to display the very antics of politicians .....sentiments, ethnic bigotries and anti-one Nigeria stance. Do we think if Nigeria experienced another civil war it will end in 3yrs? Do we really think over diversity in tongue and culture are our problems? Is there any tribe or faith that the present economic or security situation doesn't affect?
4. For the 2023 elections, were they free and fair? INEC's budget for 2023 elections was N355b. If the outcomes weren't reflective of the people's desire, are we okay spending this much in 2027 for a marred process & outcomes?
5. Nigeria is made up of two principal zones...North and South. Does the South have to thank the North for allowing it to produce the next President after 8yrs of Buhari's administration and vice versa? Is this not a warning of something not too good to come in the future?
6. Have we asked ourselves, why are Nigerian politicians and govt appointees so wealthy? A simple truth is this. At the Federal level, the value of one of their houses is around 500m-3b Naira. At the State level, it is around 250m-1b...and so on. How did they come about these monies that we will rather prefer to fight ourselves under comment sections, while they continue to live in opulence...Hmmm
