Austria…..well I was and then I caught covid and couldn’t go *facepalm*. Was supposed to leave tomorrow. #gutted. Great video, a lot of great content and a helpful reminder for more experienced users as well as for beginners.

Are there any tricks to finding powder depending on directions of faces, times of day, or weather, where you are more likely to hit powder instead of crusty top layers? In the alps, I find those a bit too often, I'd say..

Anywhere away from the winds. Trees are usually good.

Try the trees, areas sheltered from the sun and wind!

Regarding direciton of faces, generally speaking you should stick to north faces, especially later into the winter when the sun gets stronger.

This is great but wish it was more detailed. How do we identify start zones or convex areas?
