We have a relative who's single, never married (except to his rig), no kids, and who has been on the road most of his life...He recently sold his house, and most of the cash went towards a P-Bilt condo sleeper...He's on the road so much, he felt it just wasn't feasible to keep the house going anymore...You'd think you were in a medium sized mobile home instead of a rig...Whenever he takes extended time off, he just pulls into a campground and hooks up...
My husband is going to start classes in about 6 weeks to drive. THIS rig is the one that would make the job as close to perfect as you can get on the road. OUTSTANDING job guys!! Blow every one off that said any thing other than that y'all did a GREAT job!! If we could get a set up like this it would be easy for me to get my CDL as well and just sell the house and enjoy life on the road for a few years.
This rig is amazing!!! Thank you so much for posting it! I'm 40 years old, and have been infatuated with big rigs since I was a kid ( I have my CDL). I could not have dreamed that one day I'd see something like this one. I'm completely stunned. Thank you again for posting it.
Mike: I have been building these since 1982. I have had many customers over the years use their truck sleepers as their home.Tom that owns this one has a nice home in Chicago. Thanks for checking out my videos.....
Man that would have made life a lot easier when I was on the road. To bad trucking been hit so hard, it's hard for truck drivers to offered things like this to make life on the road better
You young bucks. Back in my day we didnt have all these doo dahs. All we had were two seats and a cooler in between as a mattress. We used the engine as a micriwave oven. I spit on roadside assistance, I am rodeside assistance. if I needed a cleanin I woukd stop along side a river and take me a bath. Those were real drivin days.
@ultrakev9 Yes this unit has 4 large golf cart batteries. These run the sleeper & power Inverter (makes 12-v into 110-V) It also has a 7200 watt generator that will auto start to charge batteries or run the central heat & Air cond unit if the temp is outside the settings. It also has a pathmaker by Xantrex it controls the charging between the two sets of batteries. Awesome marine system....... Works like a dream
Fuckin bad ass guys.....im a LTL and linehaul driver, but seeing beautiful stuff like this is what makes me keep thinking about going over the road when my kids are grown up...awesome!!
@berniebulk P.S thank you for the complement on the looks. Trust me its built as well as it looks.... Much better than any factory unit avalible. I have spent 30 years cutting new sleepers in half and building these units. I have studied the factory weak spots and corrected their mistakes when I build a unit like this. it has a lifetime warranty on cabinets & body, and he lives in the Chigago area. Need I say more?
That is a thing of beauty. But the reality is the added weight limits your load ability. If you already do a dedicated specialty run with a consistent weight then absolutely this truck would be awesome! The workmanship is incredible, as well as the style.
What's the weight of the sleeper by itself? What's the weight of the sleeper & the truck tractor combined? That's a pretty big ole box & very nice as well!
The sleeper frame/body is solid and does not twist like the truck frame. The cab/sleeper rides on (6) 5000# air spings and (4) shocks. It has over 300,000 miles and not a crack in the tile floor. It will be getting a shower remodel this week though. The shower is showing wear so we will redue it with upgraded material(s) Thanks for watching our video...
Great video. Thanks. Is there a limit how long your truck and trailer can be? I mean, with a longer cab will the truck and trailer be too long for driving in some states?
beautiful, but ceramic tile is silly. Adds to the weight load substantially and all for appearance rather than the sake of use. Big living area is great, but keep the weight DOWN
@TrueCustomInc ,i dont doubt for a second that you build a quality product,us aussie truckies a very envious of the rigs you yanks can operate in the usa...however ,as i stated,on our goat tracks things like tiled floors, would not last one trip melbourne to townsville (south to north),much less,on secondary outback roads.and tare weight is a major issue here, and the added tare of that sleeper would restict it to jobs carting light weight volume loads,ie,funiture or feathers.cheersnbeers bernie
Sorry if I offended you. Google Bayview Limo in Seattle. Rob Hanson There is a man and a true american. He is a quad been in a wheelchair since he was 19. He is now a self made millionare. He did not need someone to give him a life, He just needed the oppotunity to use his brain to take care of himself. He has a wife two kids and almost 100 employees. I desighned and built the truck in the video. I will work hard enough to take care of my family and friends. I dont need a handout thanks :)
@truckinfat1 Thanks for watching video and your kind words. The truck weighs about 26,000 with water & fuel. It was built by three people. One other person & myself built 95% and a 3rd person brought the quality surface to the fiberglass roof cap.
I want!!!! would love to take a pete 63"stand up, stretch enough to a have a full double mattress and about 6" wider closets, add that to a 379 and put her to work.
ceramic won't break the sleepers sit on 6 air bags this one probably 8 bags....nice work of art...these people don't have a house ? I'm a truck driver in the oilfields u be surprised how much money we make as a cdl driver
Fair price, great piece of custom sleeper, 132''... And about Obama, no comments, one 387 with a 600hp CAT spends about 10k every month only in fuel... Hard to work with this price of fuel, and the truckers "move" the country on ours backs... Sad. Congrats again, great job.
Nice rig. Comfortable living for the win. I question though the difference in fuel economy in the combined hauling weight of not only your load but also your "house" everywhere you go. All that extra weight must certainly affect the bottom line in costs. Real tile floors and solid surface countertops must add a significant weight to the rig. Just saying. Nice for sure though!
Outstanding, do you have models that we could choice or, could be 100% customizable? On theese days, with the Obama messing up with the fuel price, could do more money with this awesome comfort! 270k is only the sleeper installed? Thanks.
I suppose you haul some rather light loads, it has to be a bit too heavy and too long for 53' refrigerated loads. It's awesome though, I remember the days when I was a kid, I always wished my dad had a sleeper like that.
moserthecat: Sorry that your life is so sad that you must insult others to make yourself feel good. Try to look for good things in life. Yours might get better. Good luck!!!
@retropolice I'm the builder. The owner is leased to Atlas van lines. He gets home every month or two. He just likes his work time to be comfortable. This is the 2nd unit I built him.
what is the wheelbase on a monster like this???? would it be legal in Canada because of our wheel base restrictions??? oh by the way this is the best lookin working condo ive seen not parked in a show!! well done!
Now that is one way of stopping driver fatique. That should be the standard for over the road trucks. After all the year is 2013 not 1970. No reason why something like this can not be down sized alittle and produced. I know already what a lot will say weight and cost. But like I said it is 2013 not 1970. Why should you not have those conviences with you when you live in the truck 24/7. Why should you ever have to go without a shower because there's no truck stops along your route. Yes or no ?
We have a relative who's single, never married (except to his rig), no kids, and who has been on the road most of his life...He recently sold his house, and most of the cash went towards a P-Bilt condo sleeper...He's on the road so much, he felt it just wasn't feasible to keep the house going anymore...You'd think you were in a medium sized mobile home instead of a rig...Whenever he takes extended time off, he just pulls into a campground and hooks up...

That's a very beautiful job with awesome designs and great craftsmenship. How much does it weigh especially when the water tanks are full?
WOW That is over the top I am not a trucker yet but that looks better than my house I have never seen anything that breath taking yaw do amazing work.
incredible detail. beautiful truck. good job guys
Thanks We can honestly say. That our 28 years of awesome customers taught us everything We know...... Its been a great ride
Awesome truck, awesome song.
Mike:
I have been building these since 1982. I have had many customers over the years use their truck sleepers as their home.Tom that owns this one has a nice home in Chicago. Thanks for checking out my videos.....
Tom is leased to Atlas van lines and moves furniture with this truck.
That's like a hotel room stuffed into a semi. I like it!
Man that would have made life a lot easier when I was on the road. To bad trucking been hit so hard, it's hard for truck drivers to offered things like this to make life on the road better
Those super sleepers are the coolest things ever, totally better then a RV.
awesome looking truck! home away from home.
Very beautiful. Great job
Cheers from Brazil.

true this is absolutely beautiful. A true work of art. I'm telling my freinds to look up your vids. Magnificent.
Nice truck. Congratulations.
Stunning work guys.
Nice Truck and music
Nice rig! keep the shiny side up and keep the bears of you're tail
Love that song!
Thanks :) Its intelligent, kind people like yourself that inspired the growth of True Custom Sleepers. I wish you the best in life..................
@ultrakev9 Yes this unit has 4 large golf cart batteries. Would love to know what type of work you do with a truck that long.. Thanks for the Vid... Keep up the great work
It makes enough to pay for itself ,a nice house and pleasant life style
Wow. Nice job! Good song too.
Fuckin bad ass guys.....im a LTL and linehaul driver, but seeing beautiful stuff like this is what makes me keep thinking about going over the road when my kids are grown up...awesome!!
Damn that truck I could live in be good for a single guy or running partners thats awesome very nice
i love these trucks. the bigger ones that have everything in them.
Now imagine pulling 7 car carrier trailer with it. 1 car is yours. 6 pays for the trip.
really nice, thanks for the video.
awesome song along with the video
@berniebulk P.S thank you for the complement on the looks. Trust me its built as well as it looks.... Much better than any factory unit avalible. Sounds like your friend is a smart guy.
Very nice! How many wheight add to the truck?
This is ridiculous and I love it.
I like everything about it except the head/shower combo. I've had to use those before on boats and trains, and they are a real bummer!
What's the weight of the sleeper by itself? What's the weight of the sleeper & the truck tractor combined? That's a pretty big ole box & very nice as well!
WOWWW !!! That's a sleeper or an appartament??? :-))) It must be much, way much havier with all that ceramic... and yet... SUPERB!!!
Great trucks but just curious how practical they are? I mean what kind of weight can u haul with a truck like this?
wow.. such a beauty...
its like a house !!
I got a W900 2016 Kenworth. Mines going to need a Queen size Bed, instead of 2 bunks????
The sleeper frame/body is solid and does not twist like the truck frame. The cab/sleeper rides on (6) 5000# air spings and (4) shocks. It has over 300,000 miles and not a crack in the tile floor. wooow, that´s awesome. i would move to America and work as a truck driver....
dang that looks so compfy inside. how much would it cost for something like that?
I thought my rig was nice but this puts mine to shame. Amazing sleeper for sure
@ken112588 so true...lol..this sleeper looks more like a hotel suite..it is absolutely beautiful..a true "home away from home"...thanks for posting
awesome!!!!
Sweet!!!
Great video. Thanks. Is there a limit how long your truck and trailer can be? I mean, with a longer cab will the truck and trailer be too long for driving in some states?
@fucaduc95 It has a Corian sink molded into the counter. If you look close you will catch a few glimpses of it...
@ultramander Everything you see is in the 132" sleeper . Thanks for checking out our video
Thank You!!! We try very, very hard. Bottom line Our: customers have taught us everything.....
@216StealthSS Thanks!!! It was a pleasure to build it for Tom. He is a quality person who enjoys life.
beautiful, but ceramic tile is silly. Adds to the weight load substantially and all for appearance rather than the sake of use. Big living area is great, but keep the weight DOWN
this is just amazing, in norway it is just a small bed and you have bed, shower...
wow !! Fantastic rig shame we don't ever see anything like this in lil-ole N.Z by the time you hook up a trailer it'll be over length.
Do these coversions come with auxilliary batteries? Hate to have a battery go out and can't use my sleeper either.
@green66vw Thanks! So far the tile floor is doing great no problems at all, about 14 months on the road maybe 100k miles and he lives in chicago.....
Sorry if I offended you. Google Bayview Limo in Seattle. Rob Hanson There is a man and a true american. He is a quad been in a wheelchair since he was 19. He is now a self made millionare. Jeff Beuglas: No because both the cab and sleeperbox sit on a air bag system above the frame of the truck to keep everything smooth and gentle
I know nothing about rigs... but that's a beautiful setup...
nice mate looks huge are you a long time trip trucker i go for 3 months at a time and thats what ineed
Sweet trucks where are these built TX?
very nice
This thing is so cool, You should think about doing a video of it.
@truckinfat1 Thanks for watching video and your kind words. The truck weighs about 26,000 with water & fuel. It was built by three people. One other person & myself built 95% and a 3rd person brought the quality surface to the fiberglass roof cap.

love the sleeper but the weight added to the truck must be insane.

wouldn't the ceramic break when the truck twists or hit bumps in the road?
Thanks!
That really cool and nice too. How much cost? I want that but I want to be truck driving
moserthecat: Sorry that your life is so sad that you must insult others to make yourself feel good. Try to look for good things in life. Yours might get better. Good luck!!!
I would become a trucker just to drive this :)
@retropolice I'm the builder. The owner is leased to Atlas van lines. He gets home every month or two. He just likes his work time to be comfortable. This is the 2nd unit I built him.
Does the shower fit two? To save water :)
@stemcg11 Thanks for the nice comment :) Its all good ! Please watch our videos to come.
what is the wheelbase on a monster like this???? would it be legal in Canada because of our wheel base restrictions??? oh by the way this is the best lookin working condo ive seen not parked in a show!! well done!
@nanashi1o3 There was about 140K in modifications including gen system
Thank You! We remodeled the shower last week. There will be a video showing it soon. Its HOT!!!
Now that is one way of stopping driver fatique. That should be the standard for over the road trucks. After all the year is 2013 not 1970. @snowman36uk Of coarse it has a shower. That has been a common option for True Custom sleepers since 1984. God Bless America. :)
@pickelhead007 I think it was 315" ? No I dont think it is legal in Canada. And thank you for the kind words ...
how can I get in touch with u to talk to you about one of these?
3:20 i see a faucet, but there is no sink or drain that i can see. how does that work? use a wash bin or something?
What would a sleeper like this set someone back?
@379peterbilt530 The conversion including generator and to many other systems to list here was pushing 140K
This is cool.... And by the way, ls all that extra stuff in the cab, or the trailer?
cab
@TrueCustomInc Ah, okay.. similar to the "tri-pack" or whatever those things are. Nice job putting self-generating power.
