I understand not wanting to fool with this natural hair because it's a lot, but the health concerns with relaxers are too significant to ignore.
Exactly! Cancer and whatever else being deposited directly to you brain is too costly! Flat iron if its that serious imo.
Thats the only reason that i gave them up back when hair lose and fibroids was the main concern. But now...im super good! I heat train and wear protective styles bc i dont like dealing with my natural hair either.

Also what does the vaccine have to do with the incidence of uterine cancer, polyps, fibroids, and hysterectomies for Black women and the correlation to the usage of chemical relaxers? 🤔 ... I think you were asking *WHAT* was my point, so that's the ? I answered. Have the day you deserve lady.
So is a lot of unhealthy foods and black women still eat them. My cousin’s wife had fibroids and she has natural hair. She had to do surgery to remove them.
I must admit I haven't watched your vlogs in a while cause well life but this one made we want to go back to when you first started vlogging you have always been so dope down to earth and just a vibe. Just a day in a regular person's life is so refreshing to see instead of watching people that are trying to keep up with the Jone's. Sis I went natural because of you and you kept me encouraged because our texture was very similar BUT I was done a year ago. The longer it got the harder it was to manage and I’m very tender headed so it was a easy decision. I love my relaxed hair and will not let my natural sisters make me feel bad about it. Little do they know something they do, use, come in contact with or consume is also linked to cancer. So glad you uploaded! ❤ And girl my hair was armpit length I can’t wait to see your relaxed or natural hair if you changed your mind.

I went ahead and relaxed my hair early this year. Sometimes, I miss my curls because when I wore them (which was hardly NEVER), they were beautiful. But I couldn’t be bothered with the maintenance. I love my relaxed hair. I only relax 2 twice a year (every 6-8 months).

The best brand to use for relaxer / relaxed hair is silky elements you get it from Sally’s ! You don’t need 4 just get the big container .And you need neutralizer shampoo! The relaxer you got isn’t a good one. And it’s only damaging when you use the wrong product or not apply the relaxer correctly .(for the people that’s saying it’s damaging )
I think ors is the brand she used to use when she was relaxed before.

I'm with you Keke I love to record but hate to editing then don't let me get too behind and have to play catch up but thank goodness for vlotober it has helped me to get back on track. Yeah having the camera out in public can be a little uneasy but once I get out of my head and act as if I was on face time with with a friend I begin to forget about those around me. My hair is 4a/4b I love being natural, it’s a lot of work but it’s a beautiful thing to see my curls flourish. Them relaxer and perms is so harsh on my hair I wouldn’t dare go back to them or braids

Why can't you get a silk press and then roller or flexirod set or wrap your hair at night to keep it straight? Also you could do a biweekly or weekly silk press to become a straight natural
@@lmgeranaeava9749 straight styles don’t last. I live in a humid city with very kinky hair. My scalp also sweats a lot. I want to wear my real hair straight without it reverting with every little thing. My hair is also prone to heat damage so heat training or constant heat, even with protection usually ends up leaving my hair fried. I’ve literally tried everything which is why I wear wigs, which I’m tired of. Will never go back to perms though. But silk press left my hair ruined which is why I bug chopped a few years back.

Yup! I see them all over the place and they are 2022 study results. Also you see that L'Oreal is getting SUED for causing uterine cancers knowingly by Ben Crump. The lawsuit is being brought by black women because they're alleging that L'Oreal marketed relaxers to black women knowing they had carcinogens in them, and they never put WARNINGS on the boxes. I hope he wins the suit! I'm Soo excited 😆

I don't get people...You don't do anything to your hair but you HAVE to put a relaxer in it JUST to put it in a ponytail or put on a wig...And you can't just get a silk press to have straight hair? You can't do anything you want to do to your hair WITHOUT giving yourself cancer? You got a problem. You think a relaxer has magic in it or something? A relaxer just ruins your body so your hair can be straight or textlaxed. It's SICK, it really is...You would die for straight hair? The SAME or better straight hair you can get from a silk press. And where you live has some of the BEST silk press stylists. We have YET to see you getting your natural hair silk pressed or styled professionally...WHY is that? You would rather put more work into a WIG than your own natural hair. Do you want cancer? What is the PROBLEM? You know the cancer rates are HIGHER in your state? Your focus needs to be on something else besides the problem of your natural hair. It's like you HATE yourself...do you?
I truly understand your concerns regarding the relaxer issue. I feel there are many products, synthetic hair fibers, and other hair products geared towards the black community that can do harm in the long run. I personally stopped using relaxers years ago because I didn't find a point in relaxing my hair just to put weave on top (plus, I love the thickness and uniqueness of my natural hair). And now, I truly enjoy my natural hair and use wigs from time to time. With that being said, everyone is entitled to do what they want to with their hair. Other people's decisions on their hair does not impact you nor myself. If Keke is aware of the risks, and still chooses to relax her hair for her personal reasons, she has that right to do so.
There are MANY factors and behaviors linked to internal diseases and short life expectancy. People eat unhealthy, drink sodas and liquor non-stop, don't use sunscreen, use recreational drugs, have unprotected sex, don't wear seatbelts and the list goes on and on. No one can highlight the exhausting lists of things that can cause someone bad health or death and expect others to follow all "good habits and behaviors" because at the end of the day, a person will still consume and do what they want to do in their lifetime. We have freedom of speech, but individually, we also have the right to do what we each want to do for whatever reasons.
Keke was relaxed/texlaxed for years, this isn't her first time having a relaxer. She went natural because she wanted to know her natural hair. She has worn a silk press before and if youve been watching for a long time she also has worn her hair out plenty. I really don't understand why people get so upset on what a person chooses to do to their own hair.
@@kalishajnz I said, she hasn't SHOWN us her getting her natural hair silk pressed which she NEVER has. I also said she was making EXCUSES for poisoning herself. Every style she mentioned can be done WITHOUT a relaxer. And she spends more time styling her wigs than her own hair. So again that begs the question of Do you hate your hair or self because being textlaxed is STILL begging for cancer. Awareness is everything. Just because you've been drinking poison for years and haven't died yet doesn't mean you should keep drinking it after you've stopped. Eventually you are going to die from the poison. I care because I don't let people kill themselves just because they want to. It's sad you'd sit there and let someone kill or poison themselves without a second thought. What does that say about you?
