Somebody who can't stay eye contact is often called a liar. We even got the game to stare each other down and who is blinking first is losing. While drinking we are also staring. Who forgets about watching each other's eyes while cheering is about to have 7 years of bad s#x. But also important is, that you should never stare into the eyes of somebody that you don't know or you don't want to have problems with 'cause that is taken as provocation... anyways, good luck and cheers if you ever come to Germany 😂 and be careful with German beer. I have had some experiences with people from overboard that came here and were drunk within two hours 😂

To many germans the "american small talk", sometimes at least, comes across as not friendly, but rather fake and dishonest, when actually it is friendly, even respectfull, polite and a way to losen up tenseness and lighten the mood. Haha. And Americans tend to interpret a "stare" (eye contact longer than they are used to) as an invasion of personal space, when actually it is just either curiosity, interest or a display of "I am honest, I speak truth, look into my eyes and see I am not lying" kind of thing. 😁Weird, isn't it. It is awsome, however, to see ourselves in the mirrors that we are for one another. It is funny.
