Amtrak 203 leads P092 in Plant City and Tampa!

Amtrak Operation Lifesaver 203 leads P092 into Tampa after getting maintenance done in Miami. First caught it at 50th St where I got soaked by a rain shower that showed up a minute before the train got there. Ended up being a pretty cool shot anyway. Went to Plant City for the outbound where I got a drone shot at the diamond. Also caught I046 right behind it with a sweet horn. Pretty good evening of railfanning with everyone.

Has there been an increase in rail collisions, why did they add this loco to the roster?
Or does it travel around and provide service like an exhibition tour?

They made it for the 50th anniversary of Operation Lifesaver if you look at the logo on the back corner of the engine. They’re always hitting people in Florida though so it’s probably a good message to send down here. I think they take to special events too.
