RIP. It was Shawn's year. He brought the full package: great conditioning, balance of aesthetic and muscle size. He was the best in 2018 and he won this title absolutely and deservedly. Great athlete and one of the best physique ever in bodybuilding!

@@andrealettich My comp prep was always around 24 weeks of diet & no party. I did it the hard way with NO drugs. I'm not anywhere NEAR a Mr. O size but very much alive & well at 59. Poor Mr Rhoden was drugged up so much he never made it past 46 .. His coaching & drug administrators should ALL be Jailed for murder !!

Never seen Shawn so confident...brother knew he was in phenomenal shape. Always thought he lacked confidence and charisma on stage. Most of the time in past performances he wouldn’t even smile. But now the body building community better watch out...here comes a confident, charismatic locomotive. Should win the next 3 Olympia’s. God forbid he brings up his back

Other than lacking triceps, this guy epitomizes Mr. Olympia. Near perfection! Like witnessing what Flex Wheeler SHOULD have earned. Watching Rhoden defeat Heath was epic!

Greatest Intro ever. Saw it more than 100times, easily. Gave me such a huge mindpower to reach the unreachable. Just to believe in myself and going on fighting. Shawn showed us everything is possible. Even met him at 2018 EVLS Prague Pro Show. His death was like a punsh in my fucking face; unbelievable. Rest in peace, Shawn. In our hearts you are still living and still pumping on and on.

Well, we have suffered Curry, Ramy, Choopan, Lunsford and Walker but there is light at the end of the tunnel with Dauda and Jacked rising! They are not a Rhoden's level yet, but they have potential.

It simply mystifies me how the IFBB can still stuff up the lighting even today in 2023. Imagine with a good background and better lighting how incredible Flexatron would have looked. Even in darkness Shawn looked amazing. Incredible physique. We miss you Shawn. One of the greatest to ever hit the Olympia stage.
In this part they want to make it look grt vivid an event with background lighting and music so that it gives an events experience, they can point him in different appearances, prejudging and stuff.
Point is its not just the body show its a mr OLYMPIA.
If Shawn doesn't compete, the Olympia has no prestige this year.

@TheLusianPopa They still had ok forearms and fucking massive arms. Shawn is probably the Mr Olympia with the most mediocre arms ever. I don't recall anyone with so undeveloped arms winning and Olympia.

And of course it's about body parts it's open bodybuilding not men's physique. Shawn is the least impressive Olympia in decades. Has mediocre arms and forearms, his back is too underdeveloped to be an Olympia winner. Only great thing about him are his legs and shoulders and his gut isn't that big like the others. Winklar and Bonac were far superior, muscle by muscle Phil also is superior than him in every muscle except mid section.

Yes, as so many have fallen victim to the vaccine. There's been thousands of athletes since 2021 dropping (mostly soccer players, some NFL football players and ex players, tri athletes, cyclists and over 100 top or pro bodybuilders.) Damar hamlin is one of the lucky ones.
@@Flexb123 Some have fallen victim to the vaccine sure, but Shawn is a bad example of that. It's fine not liking the vaccine. I'm not vaccinated myself, but be more responsible when talking about it. Just because a young person dies don't attribute to the vaccine without evidence, that's just not right, and you're usually going to be wrong. Shawn had so many other issues, it definitely had nothing to with the vaccine with him. I don't see why you would even mention the vaccine when talking about Shawns death, try to be a little more accurate and realistic.
