    For me you play HS the right way, it's much more satisfying to climb the ladder with your own deck (I got legend with my druid deck, it was hard but it was worth it)

    • @FunkiMonki

      Homebrew decks are the best decks! I agree, it is way more satisfying to succeed in the game with your own creation because it's also a challenge against yourself to create a great deck! What was your Druid deck?

      I'm glad this was helpful to you! I wasn't expecting as many views as usual right away because it's targeted to a bit more specific audience but hopefully it'll get more views as time goes on because it'll always be useful and relevant as opposed to a gameplay vid! And don't worry, I'll still post more vids like this in the future and I have a more advanced deck building guide in the making too!

    I had to come back, and listen to your advice on having duplicates. I was automatically adding dups. Man! xD haha Got a fun Warrior deck going now, but it's getting bodied by DK, and these cards that constantly put stuff on the board like due to deathrattle. but when it works, man it's fun. hahah the win con is kinda fragile though xD

    this is all super generic advice that doesn't actually help. i want to create a control deck but still have no idea how because I don't know what's my win condition

  • @chillbro2275
    @chillbro2275 Год назад +2

    You hope this was helpful? I have a good feeling that this video saved me many many hours of learning.
    I like when you asked "is the idea that you thought of the win condition?" I was certainly wondering that. But comparing it to a cool combo idea i see where a distinction can be made. Then you defined a win condition (stealth aggro Rogue) -- which was a lot more nebulous to me before. The advice on having enough draw and removal being essential was top tier. That would not have occurred to me for a long time.
    Also Refining the curve section was also especially enlightening for the framework you provided. Like the noted about having too many 4 cost cards would feel clunky because you can't play two of them until you have 8 mana. And then you explained how do you know whether to have 2 copies of a card. I've wondered that from the first time I looked at a deck.
    This video, what you taught, is fantastic!!!

Bought a mini set and some packs for the first time. At this point trying to cut out cards and refining the game plan. It's been 4 days haha. @FunkiMonki  3 года назад +2

      ooh I like the idea! that's where any deck starts :). Just follow the tips in here and you should do fine! One tip I'd say is that is a mid-late game play and Hunter doesn't have a lot of survival with healing, etc so it's best if you can use a lot of early cards to get a little ahead first before doing the combo so you can use cards like Kolkar Pack Runner, Demon Companion, Arcane Shot, Adorable Infestation, etc. Good luck with the deck!

    I like the tip about writing stuff down, beats having 6 copies of the same deck.
    My favourite class is warlock, because you don’t have to worry about card draw, and if you don’t like your low cost cards you can just discard them

    Than you so much for the level of detail in this! My old way of deckbuilding was simple: choose a card or theme I like, base all cards around that, play games to refine deck by seeing what doesn't work. I needed all these little steps, so much less tedious. ^^
