from what i read its about how many animals your country kills in your play time as well as how big your mountains are so that can affect your breath too.

This game was made by the same team that did buckshot roulette and mouth washing, which explains why I loved it so much.
So after doing some quick reading, the game seems to be more or less about government corruption and totalitarianism.
You play as a government employee whose job is to keep your head down and keep the well oiled machine running smoothly, and to not question the heinous thing you’re unknowingly assisting in. The whistle in Ni’s mouth is a metaphor for a whistle blower. Allowing you to put a stop to the dark secret once it’s been revealed to you.
The reason there are different difficulties based on the nation of your choosing likely has something to do with how each respective government works in real life, I’d imagine harsher/totalitarian governments = harder difficulties.

SMii7Y you should try Amberskull, it’s a multi segmented horror game that has different settings and monsters, each with unique mechanics. It’s a bit older, being around 8 years old, but I promise you! It holds up pretty well imo! Especially the mechanics.
