Owen: MUCH improved. Last week he felt cruise ship, but this felt like a serious stage performance. Well done, this felt like a performance ripped right out of west side story.
Darcy: It was decent, but I fully agree with his elimination. He has a nice voice, he doesn’t have the performance level or stage presence to really fill a west end role. He was easily the wink link of the guys.
Zachiel: This was ok. He’s kinda the opposite of Darcy. He gave a great performance, but his vocal wasn’t quite up to par for me. It felt like he was singing out of breath the whole routine. The high notes were also VERY off key.
Chris: The edit really harped on the opening and I’m like…not really sure why. He was off but not by like a long shot. And the rest of the performance was fantastic.
Craig: He was on thin ice for me last week, but this made up a lot of ground. I liked seeing some vulnerability from him at the start, and he felt a lot more present in this performance.
Marcellas: Good storytelling and confidence. I agree he could’ve had a stronger vocal. But he had a good composure.
Tobias: He still has my favorite vocal hands down. Beautiful performance, great storytelling and vulnerability. Maybe would like to see something upbeat from him to show range. But he is still my top contender.
