  • PART 3 of 3. A guitar building entertainment documentary of a 1960 Les Paul Junior Special with P90 inspired guitar. The film is a fly on the wall day to day life of retired Music Tutor/Luthier Michael Tarr with his grandchildren.
The Ex British Steel Electrical Engineer working from his home Workshop and Studio with his Grandchildren based in South Wales, United Kingdom.
I film my guitar making for my Children and Grandchildren and to give enjoyment to other's with an interest in guitars.
PLEASE NOTE.... There is more than one way to do any of the processes in building a guitar. Do what works for you with the tools and equipment you have to hand. Also Please Note. This is not a tutorial it is filmed for entertainment and All Health and Safety equipment were in place and used when making this entertainment documentary. If removed it was for filming purpose only. Just watch and I hope you enjoy the film please like and subscribe. Many thanks Mike Tarr.

As a hobby guitar builder and modifier I greatly appreciate all of your videos and builds. From watching someone else work to your purposeful trips, I have picked up plenty. It’s your channel and time to do with as you choose; the internet is full of mean people. I think it’s great you are able to teach your grandson a skill and art. Save it to video and share it with us if you would be so generous.

@nnamhor Thanks a million for that wonderful comment and the encouragement with the grandchildren. They will all be on the next build for sure. Best wishes from a very wet Wales. Mike and Oliver.

I absolutely love your videos, Mike. I watch a lot of builders but you by far are my favorite. I learn so much from you. I particularly enjoy when Oliver joins you. Those are special times that he will always remember. You are always supervising him and he’s never in harm’s way so pay no mind to the negativity. I would love to have the opportunity to learn firsthand from you. Oliver will be carrying on your tradition for years to come and that is an amazing gift for you both.

Mike - I've known you for many years. Anyone who posts negative comments does so only out of jealously! You carry on doing what you do you're a family man and it's great seeing you with your grand children. Like others have said I wish I had a record of spending time with my grandparents. All the best, Bob

Sod the negative comments, how many young lads are lucky enough to build guitars in grand dad's workshop? I hope my kids show an interest when they're a bit older.
Really enjoyed this series, thanks for sharing.

F%%K what other people think Mike, life is too short for that nonsense. Oliver loves working with his grandad & vice versa it's time you both wont get back, so enjoy it. The chemistry between you both is infectious & lovely to see.

Great build Michael, I love the LP double cut shape, I built a LPDC when I was fifteen. Although it was nowhere as good as yours, how I wish I still had that guitar 50 years later.

Truth to tell, part of the reason I watch these builds is to see that interaction and to enjoy Mike imparting to his grandson his wisdom, talents and the joy of crafting musical instruments.

Tell the negative people to jog on and watch something else. Bring him back, he's your trademark. Thanks for your vids which are always very entertaining, and I hope you and the family have a very merry Christmas.
