In the biography Najeeb consider the goats as his children and also named the goat that he was so attached to the same name he was going to name his actual son!
You need to know that this is not fictional; this is a real-life story. The camel thing you pointed out, firstly, they don't know how to ride the camel, and the most important thing is that stealing camels is an offense in Saudi Arabia. So if they did steal the camel, they couldn't go back home. Is this enough for your doubts ? 😁
Well, people in the comments have told you about the camel situation, as he did not know how to ride and control a camel and also along with this there is also a more deeper connection that you kind of noticed but i will state below and camel will also die of thirst and they cannot travel such a long distance and there are sand storms, snakes & more, they can be caught easily with them and then arab can file a false case of camel thift also and he could severaly torture him as well & many more complications with the camel as people have said. his body is so weak and for the first time in 3 and a half years he takes his first full bath and has access to the clean water, the scene where his face touches the clean water and even the water hurts him is just painful. he has considered the goats & camels as his family and named each goat after them, he was so attached to them that he gave a goat his son's name that now would be around 2 years old as he left india when his wife was 8 months pregnent, he had no other human contact to talk to or even see another person other than his owner and 2 other arabs, as he almost forgot how to speak and he only used to talk to the goats & camels and got so closed that when arab cooked the goat meat he would not even eat it as he considered them family and when they escaped they could not eat any desert animals as they would die of food poisoning as they had no knowledge of what animal would be poisonous etc etc, he has started to identity himself as a goat as one of them, he was literally living the life of a goat and he mentioned that he tried to escape so many times but he did not know where to go and how far the actual human civilization is and he would get caught many times and they punished him severally with tieing him up, beating him, forcing him to eat certain goat meat & also no food & water. and when he was about to escape he gave food and water to the goats and camels as he loved them and did not want them to suffer as they was no one to take care of them, he cared for him animal family and did not want them to get hurt and also one of the many reasons he did not took the camel because if it died on the way, he would not be able to survive that emotional trauma as it was his only family as well. there is so much to unpack from this film, i hope the 3rd act satisfies you and encourages you to read on the real person who suffered it. after this film i hope you do checkout Aavesham, Maharaja, these 2 2024 films have a very different and unique takes on their respective genre and screenplay. and then we can jump to other language film industries as well to diversify you content.
