Kevin Iavaroni is the singer of the New Jersey based hardcore band, Old Wounds. Their new album, Glow, comes out November 9th. / oldwoundsnj / oldwoundsnj
Ricky's really good not only at making this podcast feel less like an interview and more like a conversation but also keeping that conversation flowing. It might be partially because he already knows the guests, but I think a big part is also because he's genuinely interested in his guests as people, in sharing and learning information about life -- both inside and outside the world of music. It's a refreshing take on a podcast, and it's a truly enjoyable experience. I knew of Old Wounds before this podcast but hadn't listened to them much. No matter -- I wholeheartedly appreciated the opportunity to peek into Kevin's and Rick's perspectives. I also appreciate the addition of the screen recording/video. I've been putting in job applications all morning, and this video running in the corner of my screen keeps me interested and focused on both activities -- I don't zone out and stop listening or paying attention like when there are just headless voices floating around. I plan on definitely keeping up with this series. Keep doing what you're doing, Ricky.
About her eyesight and headaches! Ask her doctor (s) about intercranial hypertension. I used to have it and it wasn't something my doctor consideres for a while because it's not necessarily that common. It has to do with spinal fluid build up and can be fixed with pills or a spinal tap. This may not be her case but I highly suggest you ask about it ❤️
Man I was more quick to click the notice for this last time. As of now this is my second time watching this and normally I don't watch his podcasts more than once. For some reason, ever since he started having video, I've been watching the podcasts with video twice over or even a third time. It really pains me to find out that Kevin Iavaroni has dealt and is still dealing with Crohn's (don't know if I spelled it right). Also I had known that Ricky had been dealing with digestive issues, but so far I have yet to know what other issues like that he is dealing with. I mean I knew of course, I heard this from a friend, that he had been dealing with ulcers, but now I'm quite curious as to know more about his issues. I'm not trying to be nosy or anything, its just I genuinely feel sorry for them and even though I may not have those same issues, I want to help them in any way I can. Anyways great job on the longest podcast ever and keep up the good work!
How fitting, I just went to a hair salon this week (pls don't forget to tip your hairstylist especially when they've done a great job!!) and I'm bleaching my hair right now for Halloween! 😆 ♡
Will there be more podcasts? You should try and do one with each of the remaining MIW members and former ones if you're on good terms with them. I would particularly like to see one with Chris, of course, Balz, TJ Bell, and Justin!
I really enjoy these it’s like getting to see another extension of yourself Ricky! I very much look forward to each Thursday congratulations on the success of this project!
Really like the convo about cats vs. dogs. Also that Kevin shared that he has Crohn's disease. Totally understand digestive issues, as I have IBS and a million other digestive issues. Would have never guessed that Ricky was a blond. Like this interview.
Why do I keep repeating the part where Ricky talks about how bad his digestive issues get, when I know its gonna pull at my heart and make me feel so bad for him?
Interview Shane butler he use to be in a band, now hes a barber and has a UFO series and big into conspiracy theories. That would be a joy to watch and hes in the area!
Crohn's disease is absolutely terrible. I know people who have it and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope Kevin finds something that helps. Whether that's weed or not, don't know until you try it.
Now I'm wondering how to make the scariest movie, I'm thinking it has to creep into your every day life to unsettle you... Like you forgot about the movie until something innocuous in your life creeps you out...
Ricky....do one with Chris......please!!!!!!!!!
yesssss
