hey .. just saying thank yoU!! been a bloody while attempting to connect the Geo7 to my laptop .. used to work and now continuously fails. Your directions worked perfect .. I'd just add that the files on the SD Card must not be in a sub folder on the SD Card. Anyway, thanks!!
When you specify GIS folder, did you select the SD card or the subfolder on the SD card? I never use it yet but my guess is that you should be able to directly set the subfolder as GIS folder, and then the files in the subfolder should be accessible
Great tutorial. I haven't get software access yet. Does the data transfer convert data format? if so, I don't see output format option. what is the output format? if it is just to copy data out of the SD card, why do we need this software?
Oh and one thing if using a trimble Geo 7x. the system will not support an SD card larger than a 32gb max so 64,128 etc sizes are not compatible. Hope this helps!

Yep, I found out with my 64Gb SD card that it has to be 32Gb or smaller.
