This barbecue place used to be called Mikeska’s! Back in the 80s there were five brothers and they all had barbecue restaurants. The last one that I know of is in El Campo Texas Highway 59 super delicious.
Loved seeing this. I have so many memories of Smithville when I was little. My Great Grandmothers house was across the street from the house in Hope Floats. We always called it the mansion. My great granddad worked for the railroad there.
Next trip try Comfort Cafe, but it has to be on a Friday or the weekend when they're open. They are also a place that helps others so it's donation based payment. They also have a location in San Antonio now as well.
